We had the good fortune of connecting with Rizzy Rackz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rizzy, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I didn’t realize it at first because I was just a teenage kid when I started experiencing success from taking risk, but taking certain risk has played a key role in my survival. Now when I look at and study some of the most successful entrepreneurs I realize more often then not they reached those heights of success that they would not have otherwise reached without taking certain risk. Now by taking risk we expose ourselves to the possibilities of danger. Danger of failure, danger of taking losses in a variety of different ways. Some losses can be extremely difficult to recover from if at all. So this is what we’re speaking of and putting on the line when we say “risk.” And as a black male entrepreneur from the streets it goes without saying the dangers of taking risk are much more heightened. However, risk can be beautiful and risk doesn’t have to be so risk-full. When you take what I like to call “calculated risk” the risk factor and the dangers involved are lowered. When you do your homework and research before taking action then risk starts to feel more like a doable plan toward success. So basically to sum it all up the more knowledge the less the risk and vice versa.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The very first thing anyone will notice is my voice. Soon as you hear my vocals you know its me and nobody else. Secondly is the way I ride the beat I marry the beat. Then when you really tune in you’ll notice I be actually saying some most of the time. My lyrics are quality my content, my words have meaning. It took me some time, practice you know trial and error to develop my sound and delivery to the point where I’ hitting all angles on one song. To the point it’s appealing and it’s translatable. By investing about $5k into my own home studio I was able to really get that time to experiment and develop. Almost all of my latest releases were recorded right at home, but mixed professionally of course. I’ve learned marketing is key. Business is key. Connections are key and can greatly accelerate your career. Talent and quality are necessary to grow a loyal long term audience. Im attacking all angles and everything authentic!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
