We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renee, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is to believe in yourself no matter what. Whatever it is you want for yourself/life you have to constantly push towards that goal in order to accomplish it. No one can do this for you but you.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is Looking Good Girl, we specialize in premium shapewear solutions for women of all shapes and sizes. What I love most about this business, is the opportunity to connect with women and help them reach their goals and feel good about themselves. I started the business as an ecommerce business only, due to the pandemic shift with my other businesses. LGG has blossomed larger than I anticipated. It is not just shapewear; it is a lifestyle. The impact the brand has on women is amazing, the networking power is genuine and the space it provides for women to be liberated, look and feel good is unmatched. I believe I can connect with women on many different levels. I am a mom, daughter, sister, friend, entrepreneur and more. I have learned as women, we share similar feelings, situations, lessons etc. I’m proud and happy to be a resource to my ladies. When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you can take over the world. This is our motto, and it is true and all forms. Starting the business took major capital, growing the business is all about creating viable relationships, treating everyone with respect, being honest and consistent.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Birmingham is the magic city. Our city is undergoing a much-needed makeover and new businesses are popping up everywhere. We even have our own football team now (Go Stallions!) Honestly, there are so many food places, it’s hard to choose! We would definitely visit the food truck parks; Oh My Turkey Leg is a must try in Birmingham. We could have some girly fun at Niya Jackson’s PYT pole dancing studio-She has all kinds of fun classes. Railroad Park is in the middle of the city and has a very peaceful vibe. The 5 points district is full of nightlife and the perfect little black dress scene.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All of my clients and supporters are the real MVPS! Without them, there wouldn’t be any business.
