We had the good fortune of connecting with Regi Myles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Regi, what role has risk played in your life or career?

Thinking about risk is a healthy and required thought process in life and in career choices.
You must weigh the known challenges from your decision making and consider the unknown to allow yourself to be proactive instead of reactive.
Preparation is the most important factor in limiting risk factors

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I am the Chief Operating Officer for P&R Unlimited, LLC which is the Parent Company for all our subsidiaries. I have been a serial entrepreneur most of my life, from having paper routes, lawn service, singing and dancing in barbershops and corners as a kid, recording artist, modeling, and being crowned Atlanta’s Phenomenal Man Pageant Winner in 1999 to the 7 active businesses I have now.
What sets me apart from others is my ability to live in the future. I am always thinking about tomorrow, next week etc. in my business planning. This allows me to be ahead of trends and changes in business practices that can impact business success. We live in a short-term memory society so you must continue to evolve.
I am most proud of our distribution company, Red Oaks Distribution, LLC because it allowed us to regain control of our brands success and to assist other brands with its efforts to expand in the state of Georgia.
I have always found ways to monetize my passions and when I married my wife, who is also a serial entrepreneur, together we started Myles Select Ultra Premium Vodka, Jerome Renae Premium Cigars and Red Oaks Distribution.
It was not easy starting these businesses as we were entering an industry as minorities with limited experience and resources, being the 1st in Georgia to self-distribute their brands while dispelling the beliefs that self-distribution could not legally be done. We are still overcoming these challenges through determination and the belief that our will to succeed is stronger than the options to fail. I always believe that if your business practices reflect how you would like to be treated as a consumer, success will follow. No one should ever believe in you more than you believe in yourself.
The biggest lesson I have learned is to remain consistent with your branding and quality of product, be always fiscally responsible and live in a way that your brands are an extension of you.
I would like the world to know that my brands are exceptional in its quality and presentation and provides an excellent experience to everyone.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Metro Atlanta is a hotbed of entertainment, where anything and everything is available however, I am at the age where the trendy nightlife is less appealing than a nice dinner at Cheddars in McDonough, watching sports and shooting a few games of billiards with some Myles Select Vodka shots and cocktails at Smoking Cues pub in Stockbridge, relaxing with a Jerome Renae cigar at House of Cigars lounge in Locust Grove or playing a few rounds of golf at Crystal Lake Country Club.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

My wife Pamela Renae Myles deserves credit and recognition for her support, love, encouragement, and belief in my business accruement.
My father Joe E. Myles for providing an example of Manhood, encouraging me to share my gifts and loves with the world.
