We had the good fortune of connecting with Rayshanna Byron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rayshanna, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When it comes to risk, I take them. Life is all about taking risks. You will never know the outcome if you don’t at least try. If you fail, at least you tried and you know what to do differently. If the first plan doesn’t work, come up with another. Do not ever give up. Through out my business, I have taken many risks. Starting my business was a huge risk, but I had the faith that everything would work out. If I would’ve never took that jump, I wouldn’t be where I am now.

What should our readers know about your business?
Blooming Body Contour is a business that uplifts, builds confidence and changes lives. I use non invasive services to help my clients loose inches and love the skin they’re in. We do not only aim to provide the very best results, but we also are 5 star quality rated for our customer service and care. I am always honest with my blooming babes. I will not offer anything I have not tried or something that does not work. I am not in this industry for the money. The money is a plus. I truly know that this is apart of my purpose and I strive to live in it daily.

I am mostly proud of how I make others feel. I build a true genuine bond with my clients to where they open up with me. My shop is like a safe place for them. We talk and vent and conquer trials together. My clients always say its not just the service that keeps them coming back, but its me. I think that is the most fulfilling thing. They leave feeling brand new and motivated more than ever.

In business, nothing comes easy. It truly takes a team. I got to where I am today with God, prayer, faith, consistency, and my village. When I first started my business, I was in school, full time mom, working a part time job, apart of various organizations and etc. If I didn’t have my village, I wouldn’t have been able to handle everything especially with having a toddler. Being a business owner, the work truly never stops. It was very overwhelming at times, but that never made me want to give up. I love what I do, and I’m very passionate about it. I know one day my business will be a billion dollar company. I just have to keep praying and keep pushing.

I learned that no matter what you have to keep going. Do not focus on the negative so much. Take the good from the bad and keep going. Flip the situation around and make it good. Everyone will not support you. The people you think will support the most are most likely the ones who don’t, but you have to keep going anyway. Do not worry about who supports you and who doesn’t. It’s up to you to get you where you want to be. Stay encouraged and most importantly put God first.

I want people to know that my brand was made to make people feel more confident and be a healthier version of themselves. When you look good, you feel good, I started my business during COVId-19. A lot of people lost their identity and began to get so depressed. Weight gain rates were increasing drastically. I wanted to help people both physically and mentally. It definitely starts with your mind. You have to want it for yourself. You have to be motivated and consistent. I am my clients biggest hype man and partner during their journeys. They got this. I go this. We got this. We are all in this together.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Valdosta there aren’t many options to choose from. I like to eat and grab drinks downtown. I would have to say my favorite place to go is the Bistro. The staff is great and the food is top tier. I have no complaints. The most interesting thing to do here is try new foods, lol. There isn’t too much excitement in Valdosta. I do love my city though.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Most importantly I want to thank God. Without him, I would have never had this vision. I would also like to shout out my family, friends, and loved ones. Thank you for continuing to believe in me and support me beyond measures. Whether it’s a like, share, comment, helping me with my baby Norman or simply words of encouragement, I appreciate it and it means a lot.
