We had the good fortune of connecting with Ray and Hannah Lawson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ray and Hannah, what do you attribute your success to?
We give all Credit and Glory to Elohim. We moved here in 2016 and really wanted to figure out a way to make a living doing what we loved. What we love is to create a more beautiful world around us. We’ve used our film set and event production experience and learned to use social media. We had no work connections in the Atlanta arts and Craftsman market, but God.
We had our abilities; a single Miter Saw, drill and handheld tool bag. These items were given to us by Ray’s uncle. They were just chillin in the back of his hay barn. When we first moved to Atlanta we rented a couple rooms from his Aunt. We slept on an air mattresses for almost 6 months…. YaH’shua Messiah from Nazarea definitely blessed our home remodeling business from the start.
We’ve increased our sales 50% a year for over 5 years! Yes, we’ve faced will swings just like the stock market thanks to the pandemic market volatility. But our assets and overall sales have been increasing at a rate greater than the overall market. I believe that level of increase is a testament of favor beyond what we deserve. All people are perfectly imperfect. So, whenever you see unusual favor compared to others you see around you that gives you encouragement to see beyond the mistakes or the occasional customer that takes advantage of your kindness. I would rather lose a little now to learn a lesson, so we don’t lose ALOT later. We’re constantly reinvesting in our business.
If you aren’t going to invest in yourself how can you expect others to?
You’ve got to steward your talents and dreams to breathe life into them. You’ve gotta tear muscles to build them it takes action in faith, grit, willingness and passion to see a thing through.
When you build a brand you have to invest in yourself and doing your best to walk that morality line not compromising your beliefs by investing in advertising, books and quality tools.
You’ve gotta be constantly learning and evolving as the world is constantly morphing around us.. Faith keeps us from paperhanding our life visions.
The 10x “X” factor we truly believe is the Holy Scripture that molds and transforms us. It teaches us daily how to become the best version. Not for ourselves, but for everyone around us is THE glory of God. Not because we are great, but because They are. That is what makes us great. Living within the guidelines of perfect love, respect and honor. When you live by a Royal standard you become Royal, Reach for new heights Using every interaction as a learning experience you never fail. Each nugget of knowledge is a solid addition to your foundation. You can’t let Ego keep you from seeing the bigger picture. Wisdom on how to hedge your business in an unprecedented market..

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We do our best to treat others the way we’d want to be treated. We try our best to recommend improvements that maximize ROI without compromising on design and functionality of the space. We help our clients navigate through their desires and budget to have them walk away feeling that they got the best design for them for their money.
Every family has different needs, goals and means. Your remodeling project shouldn’t overwhelm you. It should feel like you are making the best investment choices you could’ve made. You should be happy living with the decisions you made for years to come.
If is not easy keeping up with all the trends or learning how to figure out a specific client’s needs or unique style and how to apply that knowledge. It has taken years of experience. Everyone is special and unique your space should reflect the people that breathe life into the space all while also not compromising the market value of the home.
We love making custom pieces more than anything else. We’ve made custom tables, cabinets, shelves and built-Ins and have started our own custom home goods line. We’re hoping Atlanta will be as supportive with our artisan furniture and decor as they have been with our home improvement business!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we had a friend visiting from out of state AND could take the entire week off?! That’s a wonderful thought! The longest we’ve taken off work in the six years we’ve been in business ( my husband did home improvement as a side hustle for about 20 years before we went into full-time business together) is three days. Ha!
I would say we would HAVE to Climb Stone Mountain, go to the Botanical gardens, and the Georgia Aquarium… Duhhh…
OH! We would also book an extra gig for a day or two, so they can learn that Georgia is 3rd in the US for film production and was #1 in 2019. It’s actually the reason we moved to Atlanta and started our home improvement business to begin with! We wanted a free schedule if opportunities arose in acting or filmmaking.
We feel that filmmaking is the ultimate art we get to make as humans ( besides homes and communal spaces obviously).
We all have things we are meant to create to make the world better!
We look at human beings as the ultimate art forms. Everyone was made in the image of the creator of life. We are all called to create life and order of the chaos of the realm around us.
It’s our duty as humans to figure out what we have to give to the world and figure out how to maximize the efficiency of our production power in our areas of experience, education and natural talent to MAKE it on earth as it is in heaven. The only way we can learn where we stand out is by “failing” ‘cause we all start as blank slates. We get to choose how we learn and respond to situations. We have to give ourselves permission to rise above circumstances, because our circumstances don’t change who we are as walking, talking, breathing humans.
When you look at every experience as an opportunity to grow:
Was there a miscalculation?
Do I not have the capacity?
If not, is it possible for me to accomplish this?
What good could I use this skill for developing my great dream, our great dream if you are married.
Is there something more important I should be investing my time in?
When you still don’t have the answers seek higher, Royal wisdom. Then do our best to do the next right thing..
On our weeklong Atlanta adventure, I would also invite them to go to church or a Revival Event or Concert. Without our creator there’s no creation. Knowing that this whole universe and in the beginning the word was with God and was God, is frequency… Science on the fundamental laws alone prove the Word of YHVH over and over to us… So yeah, we would definitely get our praise on, it’s a part of who we are…
Ummm… We’d most likely go to Tallulah Gorge and Piedmont park of course…
We’d be doing some park hopping for sure.
We love the outdoors. There’s something cleansing about being in nature.
If it’s in the summer time we would definitely go to lake Altoona! In fact all the hiking would be converted to something with water pretty much. They call it HotLanta for a reason… Just Saying… Plus Ray loves driving motor vehicles on the water! He used to be a Yacht Salesman back in the day. He LOVES boats and golfing. He hates getting sticky or really cold either. So, half the year he golfs. Hopefully soon I’ll get to join him in golf in the near future!
Hopefully soon we live closer to family soon so we can do more “couple” things. We want our two year old to speak fluently before staying with someone we don’t know very well. I hear horror stories on the news all the time. We have to protect our children and also teach them self defense.
Ohh that’s another good idea. We should do a fun self defense activity like Axe Throwing or Archery or Martial arts for film.
We love this city so much! There’s just so much to experience and so many unique and creative people. We believe in the continued growth of this great city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to dedicate our shoutout to the Greater Atlanta Community. We are thankful for the continuing support of the Greater Atlanta Area families that keep trusting and referring us to remodel their and their loved ones’ homes. We are so humbled by our continuing growth year over year thanks to our clients.
