We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin McCarroll and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi RAXX, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I definitely used music as an outlet for my emotions. It is my therapy. Anytime I’m feeling any emotion – if I write a song about it, I feel better.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It takes consistency and hard work. You are not going to be given what you want overnight, you have to work hard for it. A big lesson I learned is you need to take it one day at a time and set little goals for yourself. Do not set yourself up for failure.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m going to LA for the first time in February and am definitely looking forward to it. Also I like the food places that no one really knows about. I love going to cocktail bars and eating things I have never tried before.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this to all the people who feel like they are not good enough to pursue their dreams. It takes hard work and dedication but you will get there.
