Hi Ranata, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
There are three habits I feel have aided in my success. The first is continuous research on the industry, marketing, branding, etc. I never stop trying to learn more so that my business can continue to grow and be successful. Next, I would say, communicating to others about my business. I am proud of my business, our mission, and the benefits you can gain from our skincare collections and soy candle collection as well. To be able to spread the word about Juicy Baby not only helps with the success but also brings awareness to what we have to offer. The third habit would be staying focused on my business. I never lose focus or let my business drift out of sight. If it is a small task or a big event. I make sure I stay focused on ensuring that the task gets completed or I am working on something that will be part of the event.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The mission behind Juicy Baby is to create products for you to indulge in self-care and self-love. Being a mom and wife sometimes you put a lot into your family or job and forget to take some time for yourself. So it is important to take some time to make yourself a priority and do something for yourself. So I create handmade skincare products and hand-poured soy candles that allow you to create a moment for yourself that makes you feel good and confident in who you are.

Juicy Baby LLC creates handmade skincare products and soy wax candles while encouraging self-care, self-love, and being confident in who you are.

Our handmade skincare line includes body butters, sugar scrubs, face oils, and beard oils. We have taken the time to research and find ingredients that are beneficial for our skin.

Our soy candles are scented 100% natural soy candles that are non-toxic, burn cleanly, and contain a quality of blended fragrances. We aid you in creating a memorable essence in your home or space.

We want to you make yourself a priority and give yourself some love while embracing your life, mind, body, and soul.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our first stop would be the King Center and home of Martin Luther King, Jr. We will definitely have to include some good Atlanta history on the itinerary. A visit to Atlantic Station will be a great area for great shopping, eating, and fun with friends and/or family. An amazing place to visit in the city would be The Atlanta Botanical Gardens which includes amazing beautiful displays and exhibitions, especially during the holiday season. The finale would be the Real Milk and Honey (Atlanta) for great vibes, a fabulous meal, and drinks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband and children encourage me day to day to continue pushing my goals. Although I am always in wife and mom mode even while running a small business, the moments when they look at me and say that they are proud of me encourages me more than they will ever know. I am so proud of the accomplishments that they have made that when they tell me that they are proud or good job it puts into perspective how much of a great team we are.
