Meet Rachael Maliwa | Singer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachael Maliwa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi RACHAEL, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I am a parent to my 7 year old niece, The most important think i have done is by first believing in your child, giving themselves opportunity to express themselves and having a little trust in them, encouraging them to pursue on their interests, being career and studying, being positive giving them moral to work harder.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an accountant by profession but an artist as a career and a passion , first thing about my work is to love what you are doing, dedication and sacrifice and consistence comes then and not forgetting having a target at the end of the road, Art and creativity is never easy, but if you got these its easy to fight any challenge that comes along.
for me in my journey as an artist i have learned to put those things in front, and i have learned many lessons, in this world whom you wanna be where you wanna be, nothing is impossible, i can be whom you want to be and where you want to be, and in everything it just have to beginning with you, it always have to be yourself to fight for what you want to be , no one will be there to get to where you want to be.
From a small community in Kenya , there was the Pokomo people and their culture, unique and beautiful way of living, that ii showcase through my music, to show people how beautiful the world is and how each other culture is uniquely on each way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
i will take her on a safari, to see the nature and some wild life , nature is beautiful and believing in nature gives us a positive energy that gives us hope of tomorrow. having a nice meal at a restaurant where it has the beach view , a night with friends for some little hangout, visiting some orphanage and having a wonderful time with the kids and showing them how important they are.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to the Author of ” How to be a Bawse” by Lilly Singh, Its true that success and happiness requires real effort dedication and determination.\
Shout out to my two parents who raised me to be who i am, Never to give u, self determination and never to loose focus in what you want to achieve.
