We had the good fortune of connecting with Qwatisha Atkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Qwatisha, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
My biggest lesson was that I have to learn to not respond to people speaking negative on my business because it’s going to be people to bring hate sometimes you just have to have tough skin in this business owner world and learn not to let everything effect you .
What should our readers know about your business?
I am most proud about still running my business because it’s been times where I was about to stop so I’m more so proud of myself. I’m proud that I have people enjoying my desserts and my coffees because this is my passion. I love to cook I’m a foodie for sure . I started off cooking for my friends and family, because I loved cooking I’ve always volunteered to cook . Then that’s when I grew balls and started cooking for everyone , it wasn’t easy because I am a very shy person so I was wondering like are the people gone like it or not ? Am I doing the right thing ? But luckily everyone did . The lessons that i learned was to always have tough skin , ignore the hateful people , and accept constructive criticism.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My friends . Shoutout to them . Because they really helped me . And been around since I started my business. They was there when things got hard . And that’s when you know you have genuine people around is when they are around during the hard times . They also have businesses and had them before me. That’s how I learned about running a business.
