We had the good fortune of connecting with Quonda Renee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quonda, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand would be my faith. When I first started my brand my Faith was the only thing I had. I didn’t have money, a marketing budget, or connections. But I did feel an urgency to just start and trust God for the rest.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I Need A WORD, is a digital marketing platform, that helps Pastors and Leaders get exposure on social media. What makes my brand interesting is how it started. In August 2017, I was broke busted disgusted with 3 degrees and couldn’t find a job. So I started a page only on Facebook called it I Need A WORD, that night 10000 organic followers just came, then Day 9 100,000 followers. I had no plan at the time I was just walking by Faith and before I knew it Pastors from all over the world were reaching out asking for marketing help so that birthed our consulting agency. I think one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned was to not wait till everything comes together to move, just move and everything else would fall into place This journey was definitely not easy, there was no real blue print I had to follow and I made a lot of mistakes but I didn’t quit. I would like the world to know, whatever you feel led in your heart to do, to create, just do it, there may never be a perfect moment to start but start anyway, start alone, start afraid, just start

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love love love all things Buckhead. We would definitely go to Spa Sydell for facials and massages just to relax. Then we would go to Grand Lux Cafe or The Capital Grill to eat, then of course a little shopping at Phipps Plaza and The Lenox Mall. If it’s one of my vegan friends then definitely go to Slutty Vegan. And show them where Tyler Perry Studios is located

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely God, He is the reason I started and the reason I came this far.
