We had the good fortune of connecting with Quniana “Author Q” Futrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quniana “Author Q”, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My company, the ECE Firm, impacts the world through our transformational coaching services and programs for help influencer heal from their “momma trauma.” Our world is compiled of hurt people, hurting people. So our mission is to change the narrative to make room and create safe spaces for healed people to heal their families; in return our communities are changed and impacted greatly!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My brand story is one of resilience and healing! What sets me a part is I’m not afraid to speak out about what’s taboo in the black community. Going to therapy, asking for help and healing through wounds caused by our mothers! Most often, it’s dads who are painted as deadbeat, but there are moms out here who are just as dead beat and worse in some cases. We lead with the mantra which is my Champion Life Coaching practice, Trauma Ain’t Normal!
I enjoy going to college campuses, corporations, churches and correctional facilities helping them learn how to Unleash the Champion®️.

I host annual sold our healing retreats for women in business. Next year, 2022 I’m launching the inaugural Why My Mom retreat where we are accepting 6 mom/daughter duos to come retreat and heal with us!

I build champions from the inside out using my proven methods as a certified trauma professional, and years of experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my mom! Honestly, if it wasn’t for all the drugs, incarceration and constant battles she faced, I would’ve have the grit, determination and healing spirit that I do today! I believe ALL things have worked together for my good, even having a mom who struggled! Now I get to help others learn how they can hate their moms addictions or choices and STILL love and honor their moms.
