We had the good fortune of connecting with Quiana “Queen” Whitfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quiana “Queen”, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always been passionate about hair in general from creating the latest styles and my very own custom hairstyles, colors , cuts , braids etc. Being my natural hair is 4c most the styles I love to wear required heat. Putting to much or not properly protecting your hair from heat causes hair damage. I never experience hair damage due to always educating myself on the Do’s and Don’ts. Being a hair stylist I feel it’s your duty let your clients know what will help improve hair growth and how to maintain healthy hair. Sad to admit I wasn’t getting those type of tips when days I just didn’t feel like doing my hair on my own and treated myself to the salons. So I decided to bring a positive impact to the hair industry by creating Queen Factory Beauty. First to provide educational hair tips on all types of hair. Provide natural plant-based ingredients hair care products that will produce hair growth and products to help you to be able to manage your natural hair and hair extensions. Also I wanted to create a foundation for my community younger “Boss Hair Babes” generation by educating them on how to start your own business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The mission at Queen Factory Beauty is to make everyone feel beautiful naturally. I am Queen the owner of Queen Factory Beauty. We specialize in natural hair growth and hair maintenance. I am a female black hair chemist. who has developed a formula using 100% plant-based ingredients. Shampoo, deep conditioner and hair growth serum, beard oil, edge control, and loc gel.Including satin bonnets infused with Jamaican black castor oil.
Being a business owner has taught me professionally it’s not what you have it’s about how to use what you have.
Majority of my time I may miss a few days of sleep but like my daddy always taught me “Nothing Comes to a sleeper but a dream”. Right now I don’t have time to dream . I am currently investing in my vision.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Linking up with Queen will always be your best time in life lol. There’s so many places that I have enjoyed in Atlanta my favorite food place is Vortex in the Little Five Points area. Their food is so good and the location is perfect . It’s just in the middle of shopping stores and live artists. I would definitely recommend visiting the Trap Museum. I also love sip and paint .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Always first and foremost My God who created this beautiful world for me to reach and go beyond my greatest blessings. My special heart beat , My lovely parents Princess & Norman (RIP Daddy). My wonderful siblings , the world’s greatest friend circle, My Factory Gang who help keep business flowing, and most importantly my clients are the best!
