We had the good fortune of connecting with Quentin Washington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quentin, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My ultimate career objective is to establish QJW Productions with multiple branches in Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; and Orlando, Florida. I envision QJW Productions as a creative hub where artists from various fields can gather to unleash their creativity. Our services will span across film, photography, music, and fashion, offering a comprehensive platform for artistic expression.

In addition, I aim for my nonprofit organization, Palse for a Cause, to gain widespread recognition and actively contribute to the treatment of Bell’s Palsy and mental health. Through annual global events, we will raise awareness and support initiatives focused on improving treatment options and fostering greater understanding of these conditions.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I opened QJW Productions in 2017 I knew we was different what sets us apart is the ability to foster self-expression among our clients, provide a creative outlet for individuals, and deliver projects with a meaningful and relatable message.

We operate in three distinct sectors, each showcasing a versatility and commitment to excellence. The first sector is photography, where we offer a range of creative photography services for various clients, including childcare centers, events, weddings, individual headshots, and businesses. Additionally, we provide photo printing services, ensuring that clients receive high-quality printed memories.

In the film and videography sector, we excel in capturing stories through visual storytelling. our projects encompass a wide range of genres, from documenting events and weddings to creating business commercials, music videos, and even short and feature films. An exciting upcoming project is our film titled “Safe House,” shot right here in Atlanta, Georgia, and featuring a talented cast of Georgia actors. This film is anticipated to be released in the Fall of 2024

For both film and photography, we utilize top-of-the-line equipment, including lights, cameras, lenses, backdrops, and props, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.

The third sector of QJW Productions is our non-profit department, where we organize creative events to raise awareness and funds for Bell’s Palsy treatment and mental health initiatives. Through events such as fashion shows and artist showcase Called Palse for a Cause, we leverage the creative community to make a positive impact on these important causes.

Overall, my goal for QJW Productions is a commitment to fostering self-expression, delivering creative excellence, and making a difference in our community to be the leading force in the creative industry.

One of the primary challenges my company faces is the absence of a physical brick-and-mortar location. This limitation can make it challenging to have our own stationed location. However, we have developed strategies to overcome this challenge and continue to thrive in the market. I prioritized building a strong online presence. Additionally, we introduced mobile services as part of our strategy. By offering mobile services, we bring our products or services directly to our customers’ locations. This approach not only enhances convenience for our customers but also enables us to reach individuals who may not have easy access to traditional brick-and-mortar locations.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Im not 100% familiar with all of Atlanta, However I love a good soul food restaurant. When my brother and sister comes to visit we do go food hunting for the best soul food eatery that is to offer in Atlanta and surrounding areas. When we just want to relax out side and since I love a good park with a nice view, I would take them Roswell park where has a beautiful the water fall. My siblings and I have a love for roller skating. I would defiantly end the night with some good skating The most recent place we went to was Cascade Roller Rink.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest support in managing my company is my sister Nicole. With her successful track record in running multiple businesses, she provides invaluable guidance and mentorship that I deeply value. Nicole is someone I admire greatly, and I often look up to her for insights and advice on various aspects of managing and growing my company.

Whenever I have a new idea or initiative to present, Nicole is the first person I turn to. Her honest feedback and constructive criticism help me refine my ideas and make informed decisions. Her wealth of experience and expertise in entrepreneurship serves as a guiding light, motivating me to strive for excellence and navigate challenges with confidence.

You can say Nicole is more than just my sister she is like my mentor, who inspires me to innovate and push boundaries.
