We had the good fortune of connecting with Quentin Gadson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quentin, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks in life means stepping out of your comfort zone, embracing uncertainty, and pursuing opportunities that have the potential for both success and failure. As an actor, taking risks has been essential for my growth and development. It’s about pushing boundaries, trying new roles, and experimenting with different techniques to challenge myself creatively. By taking risks, I’ve been able to explore diverse characters, tackle complex narratives, and ultimately, expand my skills and repertoire as an actor. It’s through these risks that I’ve found some of my most rewarding and fulfilling experiences both on stage and screen.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey to where I am today professionally as an actor has been filled with dedication, hard work, and personal growth. I started by honing my craft through training and education, taking every opportunity to perform and learn from experienced professionals. Along the way, I faced numerous challenges and setbacks, but I persevered by staying focused on my goals and continuously pushing myself to improve. No, it wasn’t easy. Like any career in the arts, acting comes with its share of obstacles and uncertainties. One of the biggest challenges for me was navigating the emotional and psychological demands of the industry. This is where therapy played a crucial role. Through therapy, I gained valuable insights into myself, you know growing up basically as an only child when it came to others I didn’t have that much of an emotional intelligence when it came to just being a good friend or dealing with others, outside of myself so through therapy it has taught me how to do so.learned coping strategies for dealing with rejection and self-doubt, and developed a stronger sense of resilience. It provided me with the support and tools I needed to overcome challenges and stay mentally healthy throughout my journey. I’ve learned that success in the entertainment industry requires not only talent and hard work but also resilience, adaptability, and self-awareness. Every audition, role, and rejection has taught me something valuable about myself and my craft. I’ve learned the importance of staying true to my unique voice and vision, while also remaining open to new experiences and opportunities. And above all, I’ve learned the power of perseverance and the importance of taking care of my mental and emotional well-being.I want the world to know that my journey as an actor is not just about pursuing fame or recognition, but about using my craft to connect with audiences, tell meaningful stories, and inspiring others. My brand is built on authenticity, vulnerability, and a commitment to sharing stories that resonate with people from all walks of life. Through my own experiences and struggles, I hope to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and foster empathy and understanding in the world.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to my mom. As a single mother, she has been my biggest supporter, always encouraging me to strive for greatness and reminding me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Her unwavering belief in me has been my guiding light, and I am endlessly grateful for her love, strength, and determination.””Atomic Habits” by James Clear is indeed a transformative book that provides practical insights into building good habits and breaking bad ones. it has been so fundamental for me in cultivating discipline and establishing a spiritual routine. Incorporating such practices into my daily life has lead to personal growth and fulfillment. Keeping up the dedication to habits and routines—they can truly make a difference in living a more intentional and meaningful life. I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to my 7th-grade teacher, Ms. Patricia Randolph. At the time, her tough love approach felt daunting, but looking back, I realize it was exactly what I needed. Her unwavering belief in my potential and her relentless push for excellence gave me the confidence and resilience to navigate not only school but life itself. As a young black man, her support was invaluable in shaping my path and instilling in me the determination to strive for success.
