We had the good fortune of connecting with Quahmiere Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quahmiere, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking a risk is like having faith in what you believe in. A risk is usually having the thought and a gut feeling about being able to move forward. Life itself has to offer you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well my actual job is retail and working as maintenance at shoprite right. My career job and goal is to become an actor and play in a real movie. My life wasn’t so good growing up. Until I learned that dedication doesn’t come from sitting down. If you want to work hard for what you want you have to pray on it. I literally wanted to give up, until I realized that I started blowing up on tiktok and Instagram about my coming out story for being a transman. It feels good to have most of the world love you for being you. My career should start real soon.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Well everyone has a story you know. So my shoutout will always be Ms. Jennifer Cummings for helping me become the man i am today. Also to my Mother who is in heaven, along side with my Aunt & My uncle Fred.
