Meet Q. Shamone | Master Barber Stylist & Hair Replacement Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Q. Shamone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Q., what’s your definition for success?
Success equals sacrifice! If you’re not willing give up something to get to the next level you want reach it. Whether it be time with family, friends, love, or fun. If you hold fast I promise it’ll be worth it once you reach what you deem is your level of success and you’ll have plenty of time for that stuff later.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a master barber stylist which means I’m strong in both ( cutting mens hair as well as doing women hair) and I Specialize in male hair replacement that for starters separates me from 90 to 95% of the industry. I’m excited to know how much I change people lives, I’m not only a barber stylist I’m a counselor, mentor, financial advisor, and people connector. My road to where I am today wasn’t all roses I’ve had my ups and down just like the next person but I stood my ground and stuck with it and GOD blessed me with my own salon, staff and a large clientele. I’ve learned that you have to always do what best for you, your peace and happiness no matter what just got for it. One fun fact is that I started the whole man weave wave 6 years ago when famed designer Rico Chapple made a video of the unit I did on him calling it a man weave and next thing you know it was all over ever blog , on THE REAL(tv show) and all over the news. So if you here someone else trying to take clam they are misinforming people! After that day life definitely picked up and Blessed me tremendously and I’m greatful to change men lives and give them back there confidence.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m all about an experiences. I love to travel and have introduced all my friends to places they have never been internationally. It’s a blessing to travel the world and see some of its marvel and experience the different cultures. Like going to Brazil to see the christ redeemer with ur own eyes .Costa Rico to see some of the most beautiful forest and scenery, Cuba to see how amazing the culture is the and how connect people are because the lack of technology so when your out to eat people are actually having conversations vers being on their phones. Id def take them to Paris it’s so romantic and beautiful to me .. to see the Eiffel towel light up at night is magical. I’ve been so many places and still have more to go and share with my friends. But if they are in Atlanta a few places I like are top golf, puttshack, ponce city market roof top .. south city kitchen, agave, bar taco, Houston’s restaurant, thumbs up, colony square, and some speakeasy’s around town just to name a few.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a few people that motivate and inspire me, for starters GOD! With out him I wouldn’t be me. Then I have my mom and my nieces, I love to make them proud because they believe in me so much so it keeps me working hard. My best friends are a great source of love and encouragement and they will protect me to the end so I feel safe in who I am as a person so thank you (Ormontio. Temarrio, Tia and Ron). Jason and Natasha my extend family you are the true example of hard work, faith and making it happen and you truly fill my cup when it’s low and you don’t even be knowing .. I could keep going and going I have some great people in my life I must say but before I go I have to Thank Alex D Rogers one of my photographers, you are amazing like your work thank you for your creative genus and being on my wavelength
