Hi Princess I., we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
While often coexisting, service and art continue to battle one another for the gaze of photo viewers. While it can be said that all photos are artful in one way or another, artfulness can be lost in the intent behind the image. In such an avaricious society, these images turn from losing intent to being driven not by passion but by a sort of lustful greed. Observing these shifts within the photographic medium definitely strikes me, but it also encourages me to challenge myself and my intention within the images I create.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There is always more to come. As a full-time artist, I’ve learned whether I like it or not; I’m always cultivating art. My work is both an outlet for my expression and a reflection of the wisdom I have and my eagerness for more. Being a scholar is a large part of what keeps me so driven; I thrive by being challenged in most aspects of life, especially within photography. Being tasked with such challenges forces me to see the blemishes within this art form that I hold so sacred, which allows me to be a more astute image creator.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d definitely take my gram to Hattie B’s, to the World of Coca-Cola, and top secret photo spots.
