We had the good fortune of connecting with Priestess Sabree and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Priestess, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Mind your business and focus on your business. The greatest creativity comes from a place of peace and stability. You can hear your inner voice and develop new creative material. I always notice that the less productive individuals are always involved in other people’s lives. When you focus on yourself, your creativity blossoms. Your connection to God and the ancestors grow deeper and stronger.
What should our readers know about your business?
Two years ago I decided that I would dedicate a space to African religion, especially Haitian Vodou. I wanted to create a space where the community could come and receive personalized guidance. The biggest challenge was learning to trust others to assist me. There comes a point where you need a team to help you meet the demand. I still can’t believe my business has grown this quickly. I want people to know that Vodou is healing.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a big homebody. My home is my refuge. If I was to show people a little of Atlanta it would be art scene.. the trap museum, auburn avenue, once city market, little five points. There are too many places to eat! But the beehive and rock steady is my favorite right now.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
