We had the good fortune of connecting with Preston Reid and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Preston, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the most important thing is creating value to others. Learning how to be present in the moment and give things your full effort and attention to each task.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Mixing is an interesting career and craft. It’s 80 percent mental to me. most of the work is being focused on what’s in front of you. The rest is keeping clients/teammates happy. It’s all about finding a good balance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My personal favorite spot would ALWAYS be the studio. But if had to show someone around, I’d probably go to Blue Ridge Grill

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I have to shout out the man above for watching over me and guiding me on this path. I wanna give a shoutout to my family and friends for showing genuine love and always holding me accountable. Also..I don’t know if any of this would be possible without some great mentors in music raising me in the game. There’s SO much to learn about the business and the craft.
