We had the good fortune of connecting with Precious Peters and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Precious, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I got the idea of turning Peach Treatzz into a business from my mother, who always wanted to start her own business. She never had the time to pursue it but she made sure to teach me every life lesson, a woman or human, needs to know. My mom taught me everything I needed to know about the kitchen and baking was my favorite. I always enjoyed the creative designs and science that went into all desserts. I cherish every piece of knowledge I learned and continue to learn. I plan on taking this moment with my business farther than I could have imagined from when I was 10,15, or even 23. My Vision has always been to shine light on my home town and show what we are capable of. My mom always taught me to start with home and that’s exactly what I plan on doing.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Peach Treatzz is not your ordinary catering company, this team is your family as soon as you say Hello! I’m proud that I started this journey at the age of 22. Building clientele, I would have to say is the hard part but is also the fun part, because everybody doesn’t like the same ideas and I get to always change up my style to reel in new customers. I learned in this journey that everyone is not going to be happy for you, will not support you, times will be slow in business, and your faith will be tested but you cannot give up by any means necessary. I want the world to know that Peach Treatzz LLC. is and will never be Average. This is the start of a Conyers, Georgia girl with a dream who’’s food and desserts will see the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My places that I love to go to would be Downtown Metro Atlanta to visit Centennial Park, it’s great for picnics and listening to live bands. I love this spot called “KPop”, it is a Korean BBQ restaurant and you get to cook your own food at your table. My favorite drinks to get will have to come from Cozumel, a loved Mexican restaurant. Their drinks will definitely have you back for more. Pine-Log park is another get away of mine, the scenery is amazing, it’s always clean, and the community aura is very inviting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to pay homage to my mom, my grandmother, my aunts, my business partner Lammeria, and my coworkers. All of these people I mentioned are all women. The influence and ideas I receive behind these women are amazing. My business partner Lammeria Booker, owner of Pwittyminks Lash Extensions, gave me my first catering assignment and has pushed me to try new desserts and promote my work as much as I can. I am eternally grateful for that opportunity.
