We had the good fortune of connecting with Porsche Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Porsche, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
Leaving the comfort of working in a corporate job and relocating because I realized I wasn’t valued, my earning potential was limited and I wasn’t doing anything that I truly enjoyed.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In my almost 10 years of working in corporate handling default mortgages, I learned a lot about budgeting and the need to invest. I also realized that there’s a need for financial education within my community. I’ve always wanted to be able to give back and help individuals continuously grow in various aspects of their life. When I realized the need and my unique experience with mortgages, I knew there was a gap I could fill, At that point, I took it upon myself to switch gears, leave my corporate job and focus on earning my certifications so that I can educate and provide sound advice and access to those that are often overlooked when it comes to protecting and growing your money so that you can create generational wealth.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First off, it’s hard to create an itinerary when enjoying Atlanta, because you never know what could come up in your day. However there are some spots I would have to take my best friend. The Gathering Spot is great any day of the work week. It’s a great place to meet great people, eat, drink and have a great time. There isn’t anything on the menu from breakfast to dinner that you wont enjoy. Fellaship is another spot- it has a grown and sexy laid back type of vibe. You can go have a drink, smoke a nice cigar, dance and sing to some of the best dj’s spinning and meet new people. Oh and the food there is amazing as well. The lamb chops are a must and when it’s on the menu, the gumbo is on point. Thursday night we would start at James Room for a couple drinks and laughs and then head to Rock Steady. Rock Steady, is always a vibe upstairs, with the people from all over the city enjoying great drinks and djs spinning tracks from all different genres. At some point during the week, during the day we would go to the Georgia Aquarium because it’s the largest aquarium in the world! To me it’s one of the tourist attractions you must visit when you come to Atlanta. The top of the list and an absolute must is Auburn Ave, specifically to visit the MLK Memorial. I mean I don’t think much explanation is needed. On Saturday, I would take my best friend to Suite Food Lounge because you really get to turn up and party with the city. There’s tons of other places and things to do after the club any and every day of the week, but these are just some of the places.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As cliché as it maybe, my mom and sister have been a huge in supporting me and keeping me encouraged. Them plus a lot of prayer and my faith in God are what I contribute to my success.
