We had the good fortune of connecting with Piere Guyton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Piere, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
If it is something that you are passionate about and it’s something that you love, then there is no reason to give up…progress is a slow process most of the time and giving up is a sure way to never make it. Now, if this passion of yours is starting to hurt you or cause problems for others around you, I wouldn’t even recommend quitting then…but you can always surround yourself with OTHER people, or make adjustments to your plan, so that these problems won’t affect them. There is no guarantee that success will be for you in the future, but it’s a certainty that you won’t the moment you give up.

Just like sex for example…I would love it if my woman had an orgasm every time we have sex…if she doesn’t…it’s very unfortunate…but do you think that’s gonna stop me from having sex again? Nope!…in fact, I might take a new position, read a book, stretch, hell, I might even talk dirty….but giving up isn’t an option, when you can simply give more

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a comedian, and what sets me apart from the others is that I don’t “tell jokes” I speak about my experiences in life, how it made me feel, where I was, and what I did after.

I’m MOSTLY proud of myself, for developing as much as I have and I’m continuing to do so, and I am excited because these developments have gotten me to do comedy in other states and being paid good for it.

I got to where I am today, by being funny, honest, and determined and with the help of a few others who are doing better than me.
I won’t say that it was “easy/hard” but it did take quite a while before I was confident in myself or until others noticed me

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are 1,563 places and things to do in Atlanta, Comedy Clubs/spots are ALWAYS a good stop “Kats cafe (midtown) Ponce City Market, The Laughing Skull Lounge ( The Vortex midtown), Kats Cafe, but definitely go to Lenox Mall if you like running to your car after shopping, the battery (new braves stadium), restaurants: Toast on Lenox, pappaduex, ALL THE SPOTS at Ponce City Market.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
“Morethancultr” A group of talented comedians, actors, and writers.”
