Would you consider moving over 900 miles away with 2 Children ages 10 & 1 without family or friends, taking a risk?

That is exactly what I did when I relocated from my hometown up north leaving my 9-5 career to make a new life here to Atlanta. It was one of the biggest risk I’ve ever taken in my life. I was so overwhelmed and nervous because i had no idea what would be in store for my kids and I. I knew I had a plan and knew what I wanted to do, But how often would that work with NO support? There were days where I sat and cried asking was this the right decision? Although I went through those times I definitely do not regret it. My life and business has taken off in a positive way. Ive met some genuine supportive ppl that has nurtured and played an integral role in my childrens life so far. With that i have been able to experience a great victory by launching The Suite Wax ATL as a licensed esthetician. My purpose is to provide services to clients who value self care and help maintain their natural beauty…. Taking this risk has been rewarding and I look forward to the next stages.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For years I struggled with my own skin having uneven skin tone, blemishes, and dark spots that never would fade. I couldn’t find the proper care and bought every product that I thought would help….total fail.. This was when I had a new found love for esthetics. I spent days treating my skin with care, exfoliating and moisturizing didn’t realize I was then in the bathroom for hours. I never knew that full body waxing and Brazilians would be my favorite thing to do. However it is. Why, because a lot of ppl need that person who is basically a product of the product or has an experience that would be able to help others. Although not everything works for everyone, I believe the right regimen will get you the results you’re looking for.. Maintaining your natural skin on your own can be tough, especially when you have no idea what to do! I wanted to educate myself and be able to help others get the results in skincare they want and need …. After every Brazilian Wax we offer Aloe Vera, steam and a hot towel treatment to replenish and hydrate the skin. We also offer 2 types of vajacials (which are spa treatments performed on the vulva of the vagina), that will on the clients needs. And it’s like pampering yourself Making you feel clean, smooth, moisturized and sweet. I love the concept of sweet lol! There were many challenges with building clientele because with this, A lot of ppl go to who they trust and feel comfortable with. So my goal is to build solid relationships with every client so they would have nothing to worry about and know it’s a safe place each time they visit. If there was anything I would want the world to know about my brand is the The Suite Wax ATL is a representation of me. From my character to favorite colors to what I use at home…my brand means so much because it’s a combination of my skills and experience that I put together to master for my clients allowing them to have the best experience with us.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First All praises to God, without him none of this would have been possible! Although my faith would be tested throughout this move he has never left or forsaken me. And I’m beyond grateful for that. Then my Grandma Fay Maylor. She has been the best supporter ever. There Were moments I would call her crying and so sad at times. And she would just encourage me and be by my side at all times if I needed her. She has ALWAYS had my back no matter what the circumstances Were there’s not a day or night where we aren’t on FaceTime and conversing about everything. Literally my diary! I love her so much… Then there is my mom Boss Lady Jan who is the broker of The Riley Group Real Estate and she’s a killer at selling houses. Her passion for building women and building entrepreneurs, encourages me to want do well just like her. She would always coach me to tap into my fullest potential and always remind me how favored and gifted we are! My sisters Hermani, Hermana & Gizelle those are my go to girls any time I had an idea or anything they were there always to keep The Suite Wax ATL going!  Another major shout out to my daughters father, George for believing in me and challenging me to step out… I always had aspirations, but I never had that push to actually tap into it and George was that major push. so many things I would put together and send to him to see how it looks or sounds and his help getting me to where I am does NOT go unnoticed. A special special shout out to his cousin Elaine, she’s the owner of Mamas Paradise in Duluth. From her prayers of faith for me, and The Suite Wax ATL, it has helped my business to be so successful… my friend I met after moving here Kim Griffin and all her total efforts. Within months of knowing her she has been so genuine and a true help for my business to grow. She is the definition of a friend that wants your business to strive and do well. No matter where we are she will be passing out cards or talking about the products I sell, just marketing and getting sales. Last but not least my son KC and baby girl Ava. What I do is definitely for them. For them to have the patience and transition to this new place knowing no one. I know it may get hard for us but the 3 of us can only persevere from here. There were times my son would look at me and say mom it’s going to be ok. He would say the sweetest things at the right time to lift me up when I felt down. Their hugs and kisses are what keep me going everyday. Although they were all nervous about me leaving my hometown with my 2 children they still were a phone call or flight away. And I thank them immensely for that.
