We had the good fortune of connecting with Peter Samuel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peter, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Being the youngest in an Indian family, you’re kind of thrown into the event/party planning when dealing with older siblings getting married, and the family is the free labor. Being a creative and understanding the chaos that happens for wedding, led me to get my MBA specializing in Project Management. Realizing that every wedding is a project, I have the education, and unless you have yrs of experience corporations won’t hire you, we’re all the perfect storm for me to start my own business. Throw in the fact I didn’t appreciate friends and family being taken advantaged of during their wedding planning process, I felt as an event planner who is justice and ethically minded, I could atleast utilize my education and work experience to serve my clients. To make their wedding or event my own, and curate it as such.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
E&P Events is a corporate and wedding event planning company. We do our best to take care of the client, and alleviate as much of the stress as possible, while delivering a luxurious event. We are competitively priced and have the top reviews for clients in both the corporate and wedding industries. What led to our success is the relationships we have fostered with clients and vendors alike. We have become a trusted voice to not only our clients in their decision making process, and to our partners on how to become more successful. We have crossed paths with businesses that are not ethically sound, who are willing to step on others to further their own success, but we pay no attention to them. We learn yet another business lesson, and move on. Only person’s actions I can be responsible for is my own, and I’ve chosen to be honest in how I run my business and deal with people.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
