We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started Pawnomenal because I started to see the decline in pet care. Also many animals were forced to stay home while their parents returned to work as the pandemic slowed down, many people thought that were affordable, safe and fun places like Pawnomenal for their pet to visit

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
PawNomenal has always been a goal of mine and after being laid off I decided there would be no better time then now. Starting from complete scratch, it was not easy to get into such a saturated market. Once I figured out what set me apart from other companies and people in my area, I knew I had found the secret sauce. At Pawnomenal we ensure that each pet that comes into our care is embraced with a smile and patience because not all dogs are excited for daycare or boarding. I’ve learned that no matter the person or dog, they always deserve love! I want people to know how passionate I am about the care of animals and pets. I consider it a blessing to be able to add to the longevity of peoples beloved family pets.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love all and anything nature. I would do long hikes that are typically an hour out of La! I love to cook and don’t eat out much, so my friends always get the treat of home cooked meals. If I were to go out I like anything fresh; especially Mediterranean food like the Green Olive restaurant.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my mom and dad which are my biggest supporters and my cousins who contribute so much to my overall support system
