Meet Patrice Lindo | The Career Nomad

We had the good fortune of connecting with Patrice Lindo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patrice, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
I often disagree with the advice ‘Stick to what you know.’ In my experience, embracing diverse roles and industries has been key to my growth. By continually stepping out of my comfort zone and not limiting myself to a single path or skill set, I’ve gained a rich tapestry of experiences and skills. This approach has allowed me to adapt quickly to changes and seize opportunities that others might not see. I believe in evolving continuously, learning new things, and not being defined by a conventional career trajectory.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
II’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the mentors and colleagues I’ve encountered across various industries and roles during my career journey. Each individual, be it a manager, a peer, or a team member, has imparted invaluable lessons to me. Their diverse insights, challenging viewpoints, and unwavering support have been pivotal in guiding my path through many unconventional choices. Additionally, I want to dedicate a special shoutout to the book that significantly impacted my outlook: ‘Breath’ by James Nestor. This book not only enlightened me about the profound impact of something as fundamental as breathing on our overall well-being but also metaphorically underscored the importance of pausing, reflecting, and embracing life’s rhythms. It’s been a key influence in my approach to both personal and professional challenges, emphasizing the need to harmonize our inner state with our external endeavors.
