Meet Pamela Grant: Content Creator & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pamela, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I feel as though anyone can succeed as long as they put their mind to something. And not just think “I want to do this,” but actually put in the work. Do your research. Don’t compare yourself to others. I believe many people’s downfall is that they compare themselves to the next person. You have to remember that there is only one you! And that within itself is your magic. When you stick to a plan and see it through, you’ve succeeded. The amount of money in your bank account doesn’t determine your success. The number of followers you have. None of that. But it’s your can-do attitude. Your determination. Your ability to create a plan and see it through. I think planning plays a huge part in your success. I’m a planner and I think that my daily habit of writing down what needs to get done, keeping track of my progress, etc has helped me stay on task with reaching my goals.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a content creator and also an entrepreneur. I own No Pressure Co. which is a unisex clothing brand. I started No Pressure in January 2020. This brand came to be as a reminder to myself not to let the pressures of life hold me down. From there it just grew. For the past six years, I have created content. Not only for myself but also for other brands. Handling company’s social media platforms such as Ours by Blackjoy and assisting podcasters in creating social media content like The Sunday Jumpstart. It wasn’t until two years ago that I began to take myself seriously and started The Pamela Renee LLC. The Pamela Renee is a brand in which I get to flex my creative muscle. I blog, podcast (I Need A Moment Podcast) and create content for others under that entity. I’ve learned that if it’s something that means a lot to you, the journey may not be easy but it will be worth it. Some days are great! You’ll hit huge highs. And then other days you may want to give up. Remembering your “why” is very important when you are trying to attain certain goals. One thing I’ve learned is to stop comparing your journey to the next persons. You may be on step one and someone else could be on step 1000 of their journey. Of course, they’ll be further ahead of you. Always remain a student. You can never know too much. Use your resources. Especially in this day and age of social media, there are endless sources of knowledge. A lot of them are free. Clubhouse is the newest social media platform and the gems that are dropped on there daily are priceless. Take advantage of it all. One thing I want people to know about my brand is that if I can make it happen, so can you. I am a woman who still works her 9-5, runs a business, maintains recurring clients, and balances motherhood raising three children. Nothing is impossible as long as you’re willing to do the work and not give up the second things don’t go the way you expect them to.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living in Charleston SC there is sooooo much to do. Especially when it comes to food. My first stop would be a trip downtown to The Rarebit. Amazing food and one hell of a Moscow mule. Followed by a walk down King St to walk off all the great food we just ate. We can’t leave downtown without stopping by Carmella’s for a bit of dessert. Carmella’s has the best drunken milkshakes. I’m a foodie at heart so my entire week would be filled with enjoying amazing food and good drinks. Tattooed Moose has an amazing duck sandwich which actually received Guy Fieri’s seal of approval. Any and everyone who visits Charleston has to try it. It’s worth the drive.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for my children. They push me each and every day and have for years. They are my motivation. When I feel like giving up or like I’m not good enough, they cheer me on. I also would like to recognize my boyfriend. He’s supported my visions for years. Picking me up when I am mentally exhausted. Reminding me why I started this passion of mine. Keeping me uplifted through the good and not so good times.
