We had the good fortune of connecting with Olya Dzhumak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olya, how do you define success?
Hello everyone. My name is Olya Dzhumak.
I am 23 years old.
I am Ukrainian. I have been in the United States for about 2 years.
I am a hairstylist/makeup artist and photographer by profession.

In today’s world where social media has taken over everything, we see a lot of successful people posting their achievements and happy faces on Instagram and Facebook every day.
I’ve been thinking for a long time about how to answer the question: “What is success?” But I thought about something else – what are the important foundations on which it is built.
They are different for everyone, but for me personally it’s:

Don’t be afraid to dream and always stay optimistic.

It is important to analyze and plan everything. Analyze the methods and means to achieve your goal. The result of this analysis should be a to-do list for the future.
It’s important to focus on the ultimate goal (the absence of goals makes it impossible to achieve success);
It is worth remembering that no one is immune from mistakes, only those who do nothing make no mistakes.
And the most important rule, the rule of “love”. Love in our life should extend to everything. Charisma, which many people talk about, is love for what you do.
I am happy to do what I love, so every small victory is a success for me. It inspires me to create.

And the most important thing is to be yourself and do what you love.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In 2019, I graduated from college with a specialty in hairdressing and make-up artist. However, my childhood dream was to be a photographer. What makes me different from others? In my opinion, this is the ability to choose the right image. Due to my main profession as a hairdresser and make-up artist, I can choose hair, make-up and conduct the photo shoot itself. In my profile I call it “COMBO”. There are difficulties in everything, especially if you are going for a goal that you dreamed of very much, but I always met wonderful people who supported and encouraged me to develop more. I can prove that a person can have more than one profession or job. Everything is combined, and in my case, the combination of the beauty industry and the photographer is quite exciting nowadays.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Almost two years of my life in Atlanta. And I would like to recommend such places as : Stone Mountain (The park is owned by the state of Georgia. At its summit, the elevation is 1,686 feet (514 m) above sea level and 825 feet (251 m) above the surrounding area.The mountain, which ranges in composition from quartz monzonite to granite and granodiorite, is more than 5 miles (8 km) in circumference at its base. The summit of the mountain can be reached by a walk-up trail on the west side of the mountain or by the Skyride aerial tram.)

Atlanta Botanical Garden ( a 30 acres (12 ha) botanical garden located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Incorporated in 1976, the garden’s mission is to “develop and maintain plant collections for the purposes of display, education, conservation, research and enjoyment.)

Lanier Islands(Lanier is the largest lake in Georgia, having nearly 700 miles of shoreline spread over 38,000 acres of spectacular scenery.The water in Lake Lanier comes from Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. The rain falls on the mountains, runs over beautiful waterfalls, and then makes its way down to Lake Lanier via the Chattahoochee and Chestatee Rivers.Lake Lanier offers something for everyone. Though the most popular activities include fishing, boating and camping, based on the areas abundant natural resources, Lake Lanier has recreational activities recreational activities for the whole family. Lake Lanier has golfing facilities, as well as the world’s best kayaking, water skiing and swimming.)
