We had the good fortune of connecting with Ollisha Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ollisha, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
How I came up with the idea for my business is I took personal things from me, comment’s and ideas from clients and people outside the industry and blended them for the best balance and results of the overall purpose .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art of being a hair stylist came from that oh so good feeling I got when I loved my hair!..and I wanted to provide that same feeling to others with integrity and professionalism with a added sense of humor that’s what sets me apart from others..my journey wasn’t easy there were a lot of do overs until I found what was for me and my vision. I simply overcame my challenges with keeping my vision in line and the support of my village reassuring me. With that the lesson I learned is to stay focused and keep going.. my brand! My brand!.. can you imagine saying that..just years ago we had to suppress that thought it was out of reach..for anyone who is reading this your ideas, your vision, your drive, your commitment can become “YOUR BRAND” what I want you to know about me and my brand is I followed those same rules and still to the day.. what was a dream will become what is reality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a foodie!.. I like to experience different types of food and living in Atlanta Georgia being diverse.I’m always finding hidden gems.. love the food truck options like slutty vegan and dolphins water ice.. dinner and a movie like studio movie grill!..The Battery atl where you can find, good food, drinks, and music all at once.. you can get into a lot. From morning brunch to night lights!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
They say it takes a village to raise a child!..well I feel you also need that village throughout life to help with your ideas and dreams, etc for me part of that village consists of my 2 sisters (Tanesha & Taqwela)..who were my Guinea pigs and allowed me to practice before it got good lol..my mother (Tracie) who was also a hairstylist that gave me the inspiration and direction to lead me to my hair journey..my father (ollice)..who my name was created after lol and also my biggest fan..who will always make sure I’m okay and ALWAYS feeding me positivity..my best friend (deshaunda) who is also a master cosmetologist that have been riding alongside my journey as well who I can always call and discuss all things hair & life with..my forever village ❤️!.
