Meet Olivia Synclaire Somerset: Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Olivia Synclaire Somerset and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olivia Synclaire, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Although I have decided to work for myself, I am at the very beginning stages of diving into this new chapter of my life. Thus far I am realizing how crucial and important it is to set goals; and I don’t just mean the end goal. I mean daily goals, including what it is you need to accomplish for the day and the time in which you are choosing to accomplish it by. It could just be one thing, however, every single day you should be taking a step closer to that which you wish to succeed in. I have put off my own success for a huge chunk of time because I was always so unconcerned with the details of the big goals I have set for myself. I believe that once you can commit to yourself fully and whole heartedly, success has no choice but to come to come to light.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most excited about my upcoming clothing line I will be launching within the next few months. My first item will be unisex and I am so happy and proud to be able to pour a piece of myself into something I absolutely love doing!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love nature; It makes me feel extremely grounded and it is truly inspiring. My favorite places are up north such as Raven Cliff Falls and Cloudland Canyon. I have met some of the most amazing free spirited people! I feel nurtured, protected and strengthened every single time I have the pleasure of spending my time in the mini jungles in Georgia, it never fails.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize James Redfield, the author of The Celestine Prophecy for re-introducing me to something I’ve always know and felt in my soul. You are responsible for your life and the energy you embody in this life. You already know everything that is meant for you and you must listen to your inner-knowing and go and get it. I would also like to recognize my amazing friend Romelo. Although we met not too long ago, he has impacted my life thus far in ways I do not have words to explain.
