We had the good fortune of connecting with Olivia Crosby and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olivia, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work life balance is something I take very seriously, especially after having my daughter. I used to work very long hours, sometimes even servicing celebrities in the middle of the night. I would work at times with either no days off or only one day off. This work lifestyle eventually affected my ability to take care of myself holistically, and as a massage therapist that is completely unacceptable. One day I made the decision to create more balance. I created a system where I would map out all the important areas in my life and write a few goals down for each category. This allowed me to give myself and others what was needed but without burning out. I decreased the amount of time I worked, and eventually moved my mobile business into a location which took away the travel time that drained my energy. Making the appropriate adjustments for my life keeps me balanced and being balanced brings harmony. The journey to balance never stops so I constantly have to remain mindful of what is serving me and what is not.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Intuitive Massage & Wellness LLC is a massage practice located in Decatur, Georgia. I offer Deep Tissue, Swedish, Prenatal, Sports, Reiki, and Hot Stone massages. I have been a licensed massage therapist for almost 14 years and am most proud of the results my clients gain from their sessions with me. I have worked as a massage therapist for cruise ships, spas, and chiropractic offices for years. It wasn’t until 2020 when I went out on my own began a mobile massage business. This mobile business picked up so fast for me that it maxed out after only a year. I quickly moved into a location and love every second it. I won’t say anything worth having in life is easy but I will say that I do a good job of allowing the flow in my life to guide me to my next position. I embrace change and this keeps my perspective on “challenges” optimistic. I have what I would like to call a pretty exclusive massage business. It operates mostly on word-of-mouth and I welcome clients who understand the importance of their self-care and make the adjustments needed for their optimal health. I love my work and my clients can feel that in every session.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend come in town I would definitely be taking them to the day parties in town and lovely restaurants like the Garden room in Buckhead. I love the outdoors so we would go visit Stone Mountain or Kennesaw mountain and of course the High Museum for some extraordinary art.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout my amazing clients for their support and loyalty over the years!
