We had the good fortune of connecting with Noelle Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noelle, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a licensed esthetician, I always dreamed of owning my own business (spa) one day. I wanted to be able to work for myself, provide my clients with the best service & treatments and to be flexible to work around my kids schedules as well since I was a single parent. My business was born out of a desire to create a space for my clients to feel their best not only on the outside, but inside as well. To create an atmosphere where all of their worries and cares wash away while they are lying on my treatment table and under the care of myself, as their esthetician. I not only treat their skin during their facial, but what I do goes beyond the surface and acts on a cellular level to restore, rejuvenate and heal. The name of my business, A Divine Beauty was revealed to me through prayer by God. We are all divinely created for a purpose and we are all beautiful in our own ways, and I hope to help my clients realize that in one way or another, hence A Divine Beauty ✨

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Believe it or not, many people have no clue what an esthetician is! I treat the skin, but more importantly the epidermis. As an esthetician, we provide services that are beauty related and can improve the look/feel/quality of the skin. My passion is truly making a difference in the lives of my clients. I’m kind of like their therapist 😁 I specialize in results driven, clinical and customized facials tailored to the individual. I work with a lot of anti-aging clients as well as acne, sensitive/rosacea, teen clients and a small male clientele as well. What sets me and my business apart from others is the ability to connect with my clients and provide them with a higher level of service and client satisfaction by truly listening to their concerns and helping them achieve their results. I strive for 100% client satisfaction and reviews. I want the very best for my clients and I aim To please. I’m proud of the fact I am a mom of 2 teen boys, running my own business and I started literally from the bottom with nothing. I worked 2 job while going to school and am now the proud owner of A Divine Beauty. It’s truly an accomplishment. Getting to where I am at today was challenging mentally and emotionally. Many times I wanted to give up, but in those moments you must keep going. That’s where strength is built and your character is refined. Being a business owner is a challenge in itself. It never leaves you. You’re constantly thinking about business 24/7, it can drive you insane. I’ve learned I have to separate my home life and business life and allow myself grace and space. I’m learning to take time for myself because we can’t pour from an empty cup. Being a people pleaser, I’ve also had to learn, you cannot please everyone. Sometimes, people are not for you and vice versa, but that’s ok. We do the best we can do and keep it moving. If I could tell the world anything, it would be never give up! Even if you fail, at least you tried! With God, all things are possible. I truly am so thankful for where I’m at today and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for myself and A Divine Beauty.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmmm. I love nature so I would automatically want to take them to some of my favorite outdoor views! Maybe a mountain ride and to visit Amicalola Falls and make a stop in Dahlonega and check out the cutest little mountain town. They have some great restaurants including my favorites, Shenanigans or Spirits. I may also take them to a few of the wineries including Wolf Mountian, Kaya or Montaluce!

I would take them to see the edge of the world which is an area on the river with lots of rocks and little waterfalls. It’s a favorite spot! If we were eating in Dawsonville, I’d go to the Blue Bicycle or Chef Tommy Thai.

We could take a trip down to the Halcyon or Avalon for a day of shopping and fun restaurants! Then I’d also go further south to hit up Ponce city market and spend the day down there exploring. Maybe take a candle making or soap making class or see a show or some live music at little dive bar.

As long as we’re laughing and eating good!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I believe my success cannot be accredited to one thing in particular. Rather a culmination of influential people throughout my life impressing upon me including my mom and biggest fan for always believing in me and driving me to be the best I can be, some amazing high school & college professors who were incredible teachers & mentors, my experience at Cottey College and everyone I met there including professors and friends, my experience at Lanier tech where I gained my esthetician degree and began the foundation for where I am today and the trials & tribulations I’ve experienced through out my life to bring me to where I’m at today. Most importantly, I will always give the most credit to my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Him, I would not be here🙌🏼
