We had the good fortune of connecting with Noel Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noel, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Pets are more than pets to me. As a Masters in Social Work student, I apply a Social Work approach to the way I interact with each client. Each pet and person has a unique history and a unique personality and being mindful of that and using that knowledge to personalize all of my interactions creates a business model that is focused on treating each living being with dignity and the utmost respect.

What should our readers know about your business?
Champion Pet Services is named after my dog Champion. I wasn’t planning to add another fur baby to my family, but I went to puppy yoga at the Atlanta Humane Society and saw a tripawd (three-legged) pitbull mix puppy that I knew had to come home with me. As someone diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and other disabilities, animals have been a huge part of my personal recovery and ability to find my way towards success. My personal gratitude towards the joy and comfort pets can provide shines through in how I treat clients.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite spots to hang out are hiking the trails at Simpsonwood Park in Peachtree Corners and enjoying a vegetarian meal at Cafe Sunflower in Buckhead. I’m also a huge fan of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta near the World of Coca-Cola. It’s important to learn about other people’s lived experiences in order to create a kinder, more empathetic world for us all to live in.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Friends who support friends in their business endeavors. I started out caring for a few friends’ pets and they saw how natural it was for me to adapt to the individualized needs of each of their pets. They noticed that I was able to connect well with older pets and more reserved pets compared to the average person. They encouraged me to consider pursuing this as a way to earn an income and develop some additional financial stability for myself. The words we say to others have so much power, and there’s many people who have spoken encouraging words to me to help me to where I am today.
