We had the good fortune of connecting with Noa Bisette and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Growing up I had a front row seat to entrepreneurship from summers spent with my grandparents at their dry-cleaning business. But even with that exposure, I had no real-life experience of running my own. In 2018, I was able to establish Beads by Bisette, a bracelet company based on two concepts. We have a planet and horoscope-themed collection.

Starting Beads by Bisette was a wonderful opportunity for me to get my feet wet, but I still was not completely satisfied. I saw my peers and others with clothing brands but the things I wanted to wear did not exist. Their style was not something I wanted to wear. I wanted to expand my entrepreneurial skills, so I started a fashion brand. I have always had a passion for creating abstract art because of the uniqueness of every piece. During Covid, I began to take my passion for art seriously and started making a variety of pieces. This is what led me to establish Shop Bisette. Shop Bisette is a fashion brand that specializes in creating one of one pieces of wearable art. All pieces are unisex and surrounded by the idea of wearable art. Right now, hoodies are our main specialty, but I have plans to expand my wearable art to beanies and trucker hats.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m extremely excited to see how people will wear my designs to express themselves. And I am also proud of my journey. I have gotten to where I am today from the influence of family members. Watching my grandparents operate their own business for twenty-plus years to my mom always encouraging me showed me the importance of staying consistent! Hard work pays off! Growing up, I have always been an enterprising person. For example, in high school, I sold baked treats to my classmates. Entrepreneurship is in my DNA. Despite always having a clear vision of how I wanted to run a business this recurring question came across my mind, “Can you really do this?” Once I started to develop a solid foundation and establish my business successfully, the orders started coming and the self-doubt turned into satisfaction! There is always room for improvement, and I hope to continue to grow as an entrepreneur.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to the Beltline for a nice walk to Ponce City Market to explore the city views and grab lunch along the way. Then if we are not exhausted, I would take them to either the High Museum, Top Golf, Andretti’s, or the Aquarium. We would end the day with a nice pasta restaurant name a place!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my family and friends (of course) for supporting my journey as an entrepreneur. Also, I would like to thank my logo designers, Destiny Harris, and Josh Arnold, for helping me create an image for my brand.
