Meet Niqua Jeanette: Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Niqua Jeanette and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Niqua, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
One habit that has helped me succeed thus far is making sure I get the most value out of my day. I look at everyday as blessing and a new day to accomplish something off your check list and I don’t take that for granted.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Creating content has become a passion of mine for a couple years now. As a little girl I would always think about clothing and being a designer and now I have a business that involves fashion. My blog and online store came to life because I noticed a lack of awareness around living an affordable lifestyle. I wanted to change the narrative about spending less on clothing, beauty and traveling. As a fulltime professional working in advertising, it is not always been easy to manage my time running a small business and being a content creator, but I have seen my blog and business grow and I am excited to see where it’s going. My ultimate goal is to be a source of reference to anyone who loves to spend less but desires to look and feel fabulous doing so.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Any of my friends can contest that if you go on a trip with me, you should already know the itinerary was set months prior. I am a big planner and I love having a good time. The first stop would be a great brunch with some delicious cocktails and mimosas. Some restaurants here that I love are Fin & feathers (always a great vibe) or Two urban licks, so we can sit outside and people watch along the Beltline. After brunch we will do a little sightseeing around city to see some historic monuments, maybe catch a quick day party – me and my friends love day parties and music festivals, and get a quick bite to eat. My besties are from Florida so any Cuban food would work. Papi’s is always a great contender. Last, we will get dressed to go back out for the night, and probably stop at a restaurant for dinner – The Consulate is one of my favs and it’s beautiful in the inside- we live for aesthetics because it makes the best photo backgrounds lol. We would end the night with jokes, wine and conversations about anything. That’s our favorite thing to do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My sister has always played a pivotal role in my blog and business. When I first started out she was my photographer and she had no experience behind the lens but she took a course to learn, not only for her own personal knowledge but to help me with my photos. She has also been there to give me ideas on new content, supported me at every event I wanted to attend for my business and has helped me negotiate campaigns. My sister has never complained or once asked for anything in return. She is an amazing, sister, friend and “low key” manager lol. My mother has also been my backbone throughout my professional and creative career. She has definitely showed me what it’s like to go after something and never give up. I have watched her overcome many obstacles with a positive mindset. My mom has molded me to become the woman I am.
