Meet Nicole Gates | VP of University Advancement

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Gates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
I attribute my success to the relationship I had with my older sister and all the advice she gave me.

My mentors also played a vital part in the path I chose for my life. The advise and guidance even when I didn’t want it played a tremendous part in helping me pave my path.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have to credit my success to being curious and always wanting to be a lifelong learner.

I never knew how all my passions would come together on purpose to build the foundation that I currently stand on as a serial entrepreneur and professional in my industry.

Currently, I am blessed to be able to serve as the VP of University Advancement for Strategic Growth Leaders University and being able to use my passion for entrepreneurship as a stepping stone in teaching other entrepreneurs how to level up in their respective industries.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had out of town guests in Atlanta I would take them to the the Aquarium because as an entrepreneur it helps me relax and unwind. I am in awe of the beauty of nature. It’s my absolute favorite place to go while in the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my Shoutout to my daughters that I call me leading ladies, my daughters have been my why do many years! They are the very reason that I know that failure in my life was not an option!
