We had the good fortune of connecting with Nehemiah Lamb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nehemiah, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would credit the success to the amazing staff we have. If you have an amazing team that believes in what they are doing and are passionate about what they do it will show and enhance your business. I express to my team that they are a “walking brand/logo”. Whatever actions they display will be a reflection of the organization. I believe communication, respect, teamwork, and trust are good ingredients to empower your team to make decisions that will positively impact your organization. Also some of the experiences I had during and after college in the work place allows me to have a different prospective on the work place and the communities we serve.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The things that keep my busy professionally is providing programs and services to unique individual’s with a focus on developing self worth, cultivating positive social interaction and promoting community inclusion. Trying to keep new and innovative ways to provide the best programs and services takes up most of my time. Also finding ways to partner with other organizations and business to enhance our work in the community. Another project that keeps me pretty busy is improving the multi-language mobile learning app I created that will assist the special needs community called Ausome! the AAC App  and a children ages 5 and under learning app called “Tots Talk”, both can be found on the Apple Store. I have learned alot in the process, I have learnt to be patient and to be open to other ideas, and to push myself to do things you have never done. Not trying is just as bad a giving up. I want the best programs and services our organization can provide the special needs/disable community.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout Wing Ranch which is located in Brookhaven and Hammock’s Trading Co restaurant which is located in Sandy Springs and Just 8 Cupcakes located in Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my Dad and Mom, brothers and sister for their support they have given me over the years. Because of their support I am where I am today and my amazing Executive Director and staff!
