We had the good fortune of connecting with Neena Speer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Neena, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was rooted in a very personal and cultural truth—I was tired of code-switching and tired of shrinking. I knew what it felt like to be brilliant, qualified, and yet questioned because I was unapologetically Black, Southern, and woman.

I didn’t start my business just to ‘be my own boss.’ I started it to create what didn’t exist—a legal brand and AI education platform that centered Black identity, radical transparency, and tech fluency for our people.

I saw too many of us being locked out of rooms we helped build, so I built tools, prompts, and pathways that let us take up digital space without begging for permission. Whether it was helping Black creatives whisper into AI or guiding disruptors to protect their IP, my business was built as a root system—a legacy structure.

Starting was never just about revenue. It was about reclamation. About saying: We belong in this tech wave. We belong in strategy conversations. We belong in the future we’re building.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I broke barriers from within, I decided that I was going to be the woman in family who loved what she did as well much like my mom. I was determined to try in a space where I wasn’t sure I was the top person and dedicate myself to learning more. I know the way we look at business starts with mindset, I had the mindset that even if I failed, I was trying to face my fears. That is what really counts, I love building GPTs and understanding the backend legalese to make it work for me. One of my favorite GPTs I have made helps me make playlists so I can be productive.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely check out Uptown Atlanta and go to a place called Bene Steakhouse. I would also suggest Atlantic Station and anywhere on the Atlanta CityPass. My favorite was the College Football Hall of Fame because it let me honor my HBCU: Howard University.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this to my family, friends and God.
