We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasia Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natasia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I “became” Canna Bae Tae, the only thought in my mind was “I want people to see how cannabis saved my life”. After years of consuming in secret, I developed this immense urge to let the world know just how important cannabis is and how it can be a great asset for people who get up every day and suit up for battle with their mental health issues. I didn’t really have an idea what I was going to do besides create content and submerge myself in the industry as much as I could to gain knowledge on cannabis and the science behind it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is quite intricate, as some days my art consists of a few graphics and then other days it’s an array of video clips that are edited into a social media campaign. I think the thing that sets me apart, sets my art apart, is the fact that it’s the one thing that truly showcases me and my personality. It wasn’t until Canna Bae Tae that I actually got comfortable with Natasia. Therefore, I’ve had to overcome many obstacles with identity and acceptance throughout this journey. Especially since the cannabis industry isn’t always the most inviting. My art shows so many sides of me, from the emotional empath, to the goofy stoner, and even a productive pot head. I allow my audience to see that there’s so much more to being a cannabis enthusiast than just floating on cloud 9. This journey has given me ample opportunities to grow into the woman God created me to be while molding me into the woman I’ve always envisioned myself as. If there’s one thing I would like to tell the world about me and my brand, it’s that cannabis saved me, shaped me, and granted me the security I needed to finally feel comfortable in my skin. It gave me the opportunity to see what many consider a “drug” as a tool for healing and reparation. I hope that when people see me and my art that they get a glimpse of cannabis through a different lens.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend was visiting for a week, we would visit a few places. There would be some outside activities, tons of dinner dates, and definitely a little nightlife activity. We would go to the river walk at Willeo outside of Roswell, the Sandy Springs Bamboo forest, and this little park that I call my happy place. A few restaurants that are absolutely necessary would be The Select and Pasha. As far as nightlife goes, I would take my friend to CRU lounge as all of my friends love hookah and this lounge happens to be canna based and the Battery.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom has been such an instrumental being in my journey throughout the cannabis industry. She has been extremely supportive and free of judgement. Her ability to support and watch her daughter enter an industry that is constantly misjudged has been extremely important to me as she is willing to tell the world about what I do. For that, I’m forever grateful.
