We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natasha, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe everyone is a natural born risk taker. It’s just that through childhood we are programmed to be safe. Risk taking has played a huge role in every area of my life. I definitely would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for my adventurous leaps. I took risks like getting married at 19, starting my own business at 20, moving from one part of the U.S. to the other, starting a new life with a family of 6 from scratch, and recently changing career paths in the midst of a pandemic. Taking these kind of leaps of faith has opened many of opportunities for myself and my family.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a licensed Master Stylist in both Ohio and Georgia. I have over 16 years of beauty and business experience. I’am an author to two published books and I have recently transitioned to helping others in the beauty industry with their business or those wanting to start their own beauty business. I also create videos, tutorials, online courses of how to’s for the public and for my licensed professionals. I love to teach! Lastly I also have just began my own hemp hair and body product line. I thought of natural ways to heal and help skin and hair and this amazing product was born. I believe my resilience sets me apart from others. I’ve failed a lot lol, but it hasn’t stopped me from continuing to pursue my dreams. I got to the place that I am today by limiting the voices around me. We have to speak the same positive language and not everybody knows how to do that. The times when I did hear the negative things people had to say I used them as fuel, not to prove them wrong, but to prove my beliefs about my abilities were right. There have been times when I felt like my ability had capped out, like all my imagination and endurance had came to a halt, that’s when I invested in a coach and to this day has been one of the best investments I have ever made. When challenges arise you need someone who has seen your ability and all you can do then will push you to even greater. One of the best things I’ve learned about this journey is that what I thought were mistakes and failures were actually investments. I learned what worked well and what not to do. Lastly I want the world to know that Salon Boss USA and the Natasha Lynn brand is a brand of integrity, quality, and education. We care about our customers and their concerns and it is our goal deliver excellent products and services.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of the most fun I’ve had was a night out at the Atlanta Fox theater. Just the atmosphere and the lights and the people is such an awesome experience. They always have a great variety of theatrical plays and great new talent. One of my most favorite places to have lunch or dinner is Envegan in Morrow, GA. Great restaurant with all vegan options you can eat your heart without the guilt! All of the food is amazing. Small restaurant with a big impact on your palate. Lastly I love cabin life. North Georgia (Blue Ridge) the cabins and mountains are so beautiful and peaceful. Such a great place to relax with family and friends.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
With so much gratitude I have to give my husband and best friend of 20 years Bradley McCain, the spotlight. Through all of my adventurous, ideas, business plans, successes, and many failures this man has been by my side cheering me on. It’s easy to cheer people on when they are doing good, but when the bad times arrive and they are effecting you as well but you still encourage them to pursue their dreams, omg it goes beyond a thank you! He is my number one motivator and my greatest inspiration!
