We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from a small country town in Georgia. Lenox, GA to be exact. I was raised in church with my mom and aunts. Being in church all the time I discovered my gift of singing and love for music. I continued to sing throughout high school and college. During college I had grown a very strong interest in DJing. I would practice everyday after class and on the weekends. Mixing and recording myself so I could listen to my myself and correct any mistakes that I would hear. One day I finally built up enough courage to DJ in front a crowd of people that were not family or friends. My friends and I hosted a party in our apartment one night and the rest was history. I had so much fun that was the best party ever. It was also my first year DJing.

Who I am today in my DJing career , I am fearless and I do what I have to do when it’s time for me to sit back and let my hands take over. I will always have this special love with music whether I’m singing, playing piano or DJing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music for me is therapy and art at the same time. I express myself through mixing and matching different songs from different genres and making them mine. I’m in love with singing and my favorite instrument is the piano. Love at first sight. I think my style in music brings the best out of people or at least one of their best memories. Where they could hear a song that I play and instantly go back to that moment that is what I strive for.

I am most excited for the future of music and DJing. I can’t wait to see where 2024 takes me.

Nothing is never easy. Being where I am with DJing has always been enjoyable and I’ve had good times and bad times but the good always outweigh the bad and for that I am forever grateful.

I’ve learned that this is a dog eat dog profession and you have to grind hard, show who you are show love, respect and loyalty it will get you far.

I want the world to know that I’m DJ NAS the biggest female DJ in the 229 and I’m ready for whatever life has to offer me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Fin and Feathers in Valdosta, GA. It’s def a vibe. The DJ is always on point. The food is great and they will make you feel at home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents. I thank them with every fiber in me. For allowing me to always be creative and do what I love. Love you!
