We had the good fortune of connecting with Na’Shay Chamberlain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Na’Shay, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve been in business for 2 1/2 years and one thing I can say about taking risks is that it gets you out of your comfort zone. It gives you a challenge which contributes to growth! Being in business, it’s important that we take risks to push ourselves beyond our limits. You will never know what you are capable of if you stay inside your bubble in which you are already familiar with. Growth comes from risk taking!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Art is life or at least it has always been my life. I don’t have anyone I’m inspired by, never browsed any magazines for art inspiration, never truly been around art growing up, it has always been who I am, it’s in my blood. My ideas comes from within. This imagination of mine would be hard to understand to an average individual. When I create, I shoot for the stars! My goal is to create pieces people has never seen before, never even thought of. I create to inspire the next artist that being different, unique and 1000% authentic is perfectly OK. I’m proof! Shay’Berlain was birthed May 7th, 2018. I had no intentions on becoming a heel designer. I was only shooting photos one day on Instagram to spruce up my page and maybe a few hrs later GOD told me it was my time through all the emails, DMs, comments, shares etc.. I went viral! Working as a server at the time the love and support I was getting from all over the world was insane! I had no material, no knowledge as to how to run a business all I know is GOD has my back and I’m going to trust in him, and from that very date Shay’Berlain has truly been a blessing. I went from people abusing my work, calling my work out of its name to creating for celebrities! I can now call myself a celebrity designer. Never in a million years did I see this happening so soon! Maybe my dreams weren’t big enough, but I’m proof that if you trust in your craft, your artistry, and remain consistent blessings happen, the unimaginable can happen. Stay true to your craft, keep your faith and keep going and watch magic happen ✨

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Peach City! The best city! If you come to the Atlanta it’s a must that you stop at Ann’s snack bar and grab you a Ghetto Burger. These burgers will blow your entire mind! You will never go back to eating regular burgers after trying a Ghetto Burger. Absolutely delicious! Also, who doesn’t love seafood! You gotta stop by Wat’s Crackin Garlic Crabs off Candler Rd. Whew, baby! You’re in for a treat! The food is amazing and they always give your more than what you paid for. Definitely add this to your notes of “must try’s” We all have a list in our notes of restaurants we must try! Lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my family, friends and my Shay’B Babes!!! These people are the epitome of love. They are apart of my meaning to keep going ❤️ My favorite books that kept me focused during my journey of being in business would be “The subtle art of not giving a f$#!” By Mark Manson and “The Four Agreements” by Miguel Ruiz. These books are life changing and I recommend these gems to anyone looking to grow mentally.
