Hi Na’imah, how does your business help the community?
The Hair Chef LLC is a pioneering natural hair care company that stands at the intersection of education, empowerment and environmental stewardship. By providing resources, workshops, and quality products our company empowers individuals to understand their hair better fostering self confidence and pride in their natural appearance. We prioritize sustainable practices such as using eco-friendly ingredients, minimizing waste and reducing carbon footprint, The Hair Chef LLC sets a precedent for responsible business operations.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a pioneering natural hair care company that stands at the intersection of education, empowerment and environmental stewardship through our meticulously crafted products sourced locally and immersive cooking classes where participants concoct their own hair creations. We empower individuals to embrace their unique natural beauty and cultivate sustainable hair practices. I started this business as a college student entering the pandemic. The hardest part has been to keep going and pivot despite the obstacles.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to Columbus, Ohio they would HAVE to eat a Blu Note Jazz Cafe for great music, vibes, and delicious food. For breakfast Woodbury downtown is amazing. If they’re a woman of color come visit us at Zora’s House! Columbus Musem of Art is amazing and free on Sundays. HighBanks for hiking and nice trails

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I want to give a huge shout out to my creator for destine me for great things while I was in my mother’s womb. Shout out to my momma Denita Campbell who is my BIGGEST cheerleader. She has made countless sacrifices and supports me no matter what. Lastly shout out to Zora’s House Inc. who’ve provided me with amazing sisterhood and support!
