We had the good fortune of connecting with Nahema Washington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nahema, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Balancing work and life has been an interesting journey. When I first started Goldstone Virtual Partners, I was running myself thin, trying to reach success. That turned into late nights, early mornings, and an ongoing focus on a crazy level of growth.

But as time went on, I realized that to truly succeed, I needed to find harmony between my professional goals and personal well-being.

Now, I curate my days to include time for yoga, running, and just unwinding. This approach not only keeps me grounded but also fuels my creativity and productivity. Balance, to me, means flourishing in both work and life, not just surviving.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Goldstone Virtual Partners brings a fresh and professional touch to the virtual assistant world. What sets my brand apart is the commitment to high-quality service with a blend of creativity and efficiency.

I’m extremely proud of how far I’ve come and excited about future projects, especially the new Content Capture Crew extension.

To be honest, the journey had its challenges, and yes, I had moments of doubt. But every obstacle I faced was a reminder to stay true to my dream. I gave myself grace and always prioritized client relationships.

I want the world to know that Goldstone Virtual Partners is not just a business; it’s a community dedicated to helping others succeed. I believe that with the right support, anything is possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend visited, we’d kick things off at Brooklyn Tea to remind us of home (NYC) while sipping and spilling some tea. Then, we’d hit up Apt. 4B for dinner and cocktails. Rocksteady would be our spot for Afrobeats.

Throughout the week, we would get in a hot yoga session at Real Hot Yoga -Suwanee, where I teach, and maybe catch a concert at the Verizon Amphitheatre. We’d also visit the High Museum for its first Friday events. We would make the most of every moment!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! There are so many incredible people who’ve helped me along the way. My circle of friends deserves a huge thank you for always listening to my crazy ideas and offering thoughts to help me along the way. I’m forever grateful for their wisdom and guidance, which has been golden.

I would also shoutout the supportive community of entrepreneurs and virtual assistants who inspire me every single day—this journey wouldn’t be the same without any of them!
