We had the good fortune of connecting with Nae Chanel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nae, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We wanted to pick up where our Auntie/Mom was unable to finish because she was murdered in 2012 by a stalker. She was a fashion designer and an artist on so many levels. We knew when we got older, we would want to open a place that encompasses a place for all artists to be able to showcase and sell their talent. That is where we came up with So Saditty World LLC/ So Saditty Beauty. We both are passionate artists who have a desire and love for what we do.

We have a love for all artists in every form. We wanted to create a safe, confidential place for those wanting quality work, safety, and anonymity. We have estheticians, masseuses, cosmetologists, nail artists, painters and sculptures, fashion designers, piercers, authors, and photographers. We hope to add tattoo artists and different musical artists that we can also display in our private beauty salon. All of these artists are young, determined, and magnificent in what they do and find joy in bringing that joy to our customers.

We are proud of the team we have and when starting this business, we would never realize how our thoughts could manifest beyond our initial business plan. We were young but have huge aspirations and goals. With God and the Universe on our side, we knew that all we had to do is put it in motion. It is a process, but it is coming along beautifully.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With our art, I am a cosmetologist and professional abstract painter. My Co-Owner JB is the managing director, he designs clothes and music.

What sets us apart is what we offer. We offer a tranquil, safe and peaceful place to be around master artists a true one-stop-shop to pamper yourself. When you come in you will see art displayed from our artist for purchase, we have music and poetry always playing and available for purchase. We have masseuses that offer vital body and mind alignment for every day or after surgery. We have amazing, nail techs, hairstylists, body piercers, hand-made oils, with certified experts in each form of art. We also offer different accessories and apparel on our site.

The main reason we are set apart from other beauty spas is not only the various services and products we offer but the way we structure our scheduling so that our customers who require confidentiality are one thing we are most proud of and that is a factor our customers love.

We stay excited about the differences and joy we bring to our client-friends through our art along with our growth. We are Humble and proud of our feedback and watching our hard work pay off.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are plenty of places to eat in College Park and in Atlanta, I can’t name a single one. Rays on the River is a great place to eat. The soul food here doesn’t compare to Louisiana. I definitely would take them to one of the steak houses in Atlanta because you can’t go wrong with that.

We would get drinks at a couple of strip clubs in Atlanta and go to the cigar bar in around college park. We would hang out in piedmont park, centennial park and catch a few festivals. The parks always have something going on. We would go to the different city landmarks.

The best place to have fun and meet exciting people and great music are the festivals you can catch in the Atlanta parks, especially the music festivals. These places are great places to meet people on a personal and business level.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Self and Co-Owner JB want to give all praise and glory to the Most High God! One for allowing us the ability and opportunity. The sole reason for us to finally decide to go for it is because of our Auntie/Mom’s strength, love, and encouragement she armored us with shows in who we are and what we do, to make her proud. With the love and knowledge she inserted in us daily as children we knew that we would be able to execute anything we put our mind to. Without her, there would be no So Saditty World LLC. She was a hard-working, God Loving single mother with huge dreams.

Another important Shout-Out is the owner & founder of the non-profit organization Rae Of Hope Of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Lameisha Harvey. She always was there for us in encouraging us and helping us know how to navigate opening a business and how to remain calm in the midst of the storms. Our biggest gift is our Uncle Goldie K. Alowonle (Kartel Carter LLC) has not only financially invested in our dreams but also always been available to give us sound business information no matter how hard it is to hear. We believe every first-time business owner needs a knowledgeable individual who cuts to the chase. He has always been in our corner with the truth whether sad or ugly and for that, we are grateful for both of them.
No one wakes up knowing everything the folks in your circle are key to success!
