We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia, how does your business help the community?
Lead By Motivation was created to uplift individuals in my community by being a open outlet for those who struggle with various obstacles through life. Lead By Motivation encourages others to walk in their purpose. We drive people towards their goals and push them to accomplish their desired tasks. My business gives the community an opportunity to tell their story, because everyone has a story to tell..big or small it all matters. Understanding that many people in the world might be going through a tough time with a simular obstacle. There’s people that already been through what you’re currently going through, that can support you. Lead By Motivation allows people to speak freely about real life obstacles and lessons.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Growing up I’ve never seen myself being a young motivational speaker or influencer. I grew up always caring about what others might think of me, but when life gives you lemons..you just have to make lemonade. While I was a freshman in high school I gave birth to an handsome baby boy. That chapter of my life wasn’t so easy, but I made it my job to make it look like it was a piece of cake. I was 16 years old trying juggle being a first time parent and a full time student. In society young teen moms get bashed on social media and etc. I made sure that I was never put in the category where people labeled me as a “babymomma” or even a “high school dropout” I made sure I got up everyday to graduate high school and to be accepted in college, so I can tell my son “mommy did it”.

Four years past after having my son as a freshman in high school, I eventually have my daughter as a freshman in college. I was very disappointed with myself to the point it was causing me to fall in and out of depression for a year. I knew for a fact right then and there I didn’t want to continue to live my life beating myself up. I didn’t want to transfer such a negative energy to my baby girl, so I made the decision to change my life for the greater good. During the pregnancy with my daughter I decided to give my life to christ and get baptized. I knew that God had major plans for me.. bigger than I could ever imagine. I took some time to really get to know myself and to figure out what my purpose is in life. I read this book called “The Purpose Driven Life” and since then I knew exactly why I was put on this earth.

My goal in life is to lead by example one step at a time, because I am very passionate about anything I put my mind to. One of the main reasons I created Lead By Motivation is to empower those who are on the edge of giving up on the things that are taking place in their lives. I want to be able to push individuals to work hard and towards their goals. While coming up with a name to brand myself I was thinking about how leaders motivate others, but what necessarily motivated great leaders? In my studies I found out that motivation is the #1 trait of many determined leaders.

Growth is such a beautiful thing to be proud of and not ashamed about. A quote I always and forever will say is that “We all have stories to tell, we just need that ONE person to listen.” – Nadia Lynn

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my friends come in town the first thing we’re going to do is chill and catch up. I love to see how a person is doing by chilling in the house watching new movies with some wine and good food. It’s always a great feeling to catch up before any fun activities, because you never know what a person could be possibly going through. So, first we are wining and dining. After I know my friends are okay I would plan a date filled with many things to do such as a nice sip and paint, walk around Pounce City Market, and to a place where you can make your very own candles etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my family, especially my mom and my older sister. Family is everything to me, and I enjoy every part of it. Every family has its ups and down, but what makes my family different is that even though it may not be many of us we make sure every time we get together we’re going to party. My family has always been supportive as well as always looking out for one another. My mom and my older sister has always been my role models growing up. They challenged me to be the best version of myself, and to never give up on the person I want to be. I’m overly grateful for the family that God has chosen just for me. #blessed
