We had the good fortune of connecting with Nabila Pranto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nabila, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Without taking a risk, you won’t know what may or may not work for your goals. Taking a risk allows you to challenge yourself and that’s how you learn and grow. For me I’ll take the chance because you truly never know what’s behind that door. I decided to quit my 9-5 to pursue my dream of becoming a successful influencer and makeup brand. While it hasn’t been the easiest journey, I’ve seen a lot of success that I didn’t see before putting my all into this. I’ve grown on YouTube — went from 50 to over 500 subscribers within 5 months, I’ve grown my TikTok, Instagram, and landed brand partnerships with companies I’ve always dreamt of: Charlotte Tilbury and LYS Beauty. You start to realize what you are capable of and you don’t lose sight of that once you are in that zone. Take the risk.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Consistency has been a big thing for me. Like I said earlier, I had to take the risk of leaving a comforting 9-5 to working on my content daily. There have been creative roadblocks and times where I felt like my content was not good enough because I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. However, I’ve had a great support system where I was constantly reminded I AM DAT GURL and will prosper I just can’t give up because I didn’t receive the attention I believed it needed — instead I started to upgrade my thinking — how can this be better? what has worked in the past? is there something here that is missing or could be more user friendly? and all in all — to promote myself! No one is a bigger fan of your work than yourself, so don’t be afraid to keep posting your work just because you think people are tired of seeing it because trust me people want to see it and want to be inspired by it. That’s why my brand is called Perspective Beauty, it’s all about your perspective and how you define yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the Glossier pop-up at Ponce City Market and have lunch at Bar Vegan, take a walk on the Atlanta Beltline and head over to The Blind Pig Parlour Bar for crafty cocktails and cute pics.

I would also do a an outdoor yoga class and dine at Poor Calvins (MY FAVORITE SPOT!).

The aquarium is a must — on a day we can see the dolphin show.

We would def. also go to St. Cecila’s for fresh pasta and classy vibes in Buckhead and do some shopping at Phipps Plaza.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This shout out goes to my sister. If anyone has seen the tears, joy, frustration and timeline of success its been her. She’s been my shoulder to cry on and my idea bubble. She never get’s tired of hearing my ideas and advising me on how I can do better. There hasn’t been one day where she hasn’t encouraged me and reminded me that this is what I am supposed to do and who I am.
