We had the good fortune of connecting with Nabeelah Muhammad and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nabeelah, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My first job after college didn’t quite tap into my creative side. I found myself yearning for the opportunity to bring new ideas to the table and see a vision come to life. Unsurprisingly, I wasn’t performing well and dreaded work.

Thankfully, fate led me to the world of marketing. I finally found a way to merge the research and analytical skills with my love for creativity. In my first role in a marketing team as a social media coordinator, I discovered that I could not only make a meaningful impact but also derive genuine enjoyment from my work.”

Social media marketing is an incredibly dynamic and creative space. I’ve been able to stay in tune with pop culture while shaping a brand’s most crucial touchpoints.

I feel incredibly fortunately that I’ve been able to create a business that leverages my passion for social media and creativity with my research and writing expertise.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Nabeelah M. Digital Media is a marketing agency that I launched earlier this year. The agency seeks to help business owners generate more leads and sales through social media marketing. I focus on Facebook ads, but I also help clients with the organic (AKA non-paid) social media efforts as well.

To ensure ad campaigns perform as best as possible, I also help clients optimize their websites so that any traffic driven to the website converts to sales.

Other ad agencies have a one-size fit all approach. However, my boutique-style agency unique takes a personalized approach by creating content that truly captures the brand’s identity and voice.

One of the biggest challenges I face right now is the strain that inflation and the increased cost of living has had on business owners. Business owners are seeing fewer sales than they’d like and don’t always value the importance in investing in marketing solutions. I always try to remind potential clients that committing to a strong marketing campaign is truly the best solution to helping a business grow.

People who know me personally know how passionate I am about social media, pop-culture and the dynamic digital landscape. I’d love those who don’t know me personally to know that I’m committed to making the best of a space that can sometimes be toxic because I know the incredible ways that social media has changed people’s lives for the better!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a good rooftop lounge! I often grab a drink at Spaceman. Because I work from home, when I want a change of scenery, I like to get work done at cafes like the Daily Dose in Inman Park. And when it’s nice out, I like to get my steps in and take a walk in Chastain park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I moved to Atlanta about a year and a half ago. One thing that immediately struck me was the hustle culture. So many people that I’ve met here have found ways to make a living outside of the traditional 9-to-5. They no longer wanted to work for a boss and decided to be a boss! It wasn’t long before Atlanta’s entrepreneurial spirit had rubbed off on me. I felt like it was time to take my skills and expertise and finally be able to do things my way. And like so many entrepreneurs in Atlanta, I hope to use my marketing skills to give back to the larger community by helping businesses reach new heights!
