Meet Na-Tia Parker | Realtor & Hairstylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Na-Tia Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Na-Tia, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
My lesson I needed to learn was understanding my “Why”. When I graduated high school I attempted to do cardiovascular tech. I wanted something in the medical field that I thought equaled financial freedom. I went through & I took an overload of classes. The program was very limited to get in & I was selected to do the radiology program, which only allowed a total of thirteen students. I decided to stop school all together because my heart wasn’t there. I wasn’t happy even though people thought I was crazy to turn down the opportunity. I feel this lesson was for me to decide if I was going to be doing a career that was financially secure or do a career that may not succeed. I’ve always had a passion to help people. I wanted to be in a career that I could assist others and know that I made an impact.
My goal is to help people tap into homeownership. My motto is “giving home luxe experience no matter the price”. I’m standing behind that whether it’s a first time buyer or previous owners who want to upgrade or downsize their home.

What should our readers know about your business?
My Realtor journey was tested. I attempted first in 2017. I signed up for class at night but it was cut short because the schedule clashed with my full time hair business. At that time I was very busy in the hair field. I’ve done well known celebrities & was working on set. I put the real estate idea behind. Fast forward to 2022 I attempted again but I didn’t pass the test. I was discouraged & didn’t know if I wanted to try again. I decided in 2023 to go for it & I passed the test & became a Realtor. I still enjoy my first love of doing hair. I learned that you can’t give up even if things don’t turn out well the first time. If you feel called to do something you have to trust in yourself & go for it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s so many things to do in Atlanta. I’m into brunching, so I would find a nice brunch spot. I’m into arts so the High museum is on the list. For some outdoor scenes I would suggest Piedmont park. Ponce city market would be the next stop. There’s a different variety there. I love the roof top views. Atlantic station is the final destination because we could eat, shop, & have some fun entertainment all in one place.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family has been very supportive from day one. From creative brainstorming to babysitting. I’m thankful to have a support system because I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. My mom has always had the different ideas and my sister promotes me on social media without me even asking. My husband is my number one supporter. Whenever we’re out he makes sure he mentions about my business in conversations with strangers.
