We had the good fortune of connecting with NA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi NA, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
City Rollers Skate Club was born from the heart and from a deep desire to create a space where people could feel supported, motivated, and free while discovering the best version of themselves on wheels.
We are Taty Agudelo, Diana Peña, and Andrea Varela, three Colombian women who found in skating not just a sport, but a bridge to connect cultures, transform lives, and build community.
It all started with a simple yet powerful idea:
To create an inclusive space where skating becomes wellness, lifestyle, and family.
For an entire year we offered completely free classes, fully convinced that before building a school, we needed to build a community. We wanted anyone—regardless of age, ability, or background—to feel welcome, to learn, and to be part of something meaningful.
What began as small informal meetups quickly transformed into a vibrant, diverse, and energetic movement that today is City Rollers Skate Club.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
City Rollers Skate Club is much more than a skating school, it is a cultural, social, and athletic movement.
We stand out because:
We built community before building a business
We offer an inclusive space for all ages
We uplift emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing
We promote discipline as a tool for life
We proudly represent Latin culture in Atlanta
We don’t just develop skaters — we help people feel confident, empowered, and happy
In 2024 we achieved a milestone by organizing the first international skating event in Atlanta, Peach Roll, bringing together skaters from different communities in an event that is already becoming an annual tradition.
Has it been easy?
Not at all. Entrepreneurship has meant discipline, sacrifice, investment, tears, long nights, and starting from scratch more than once. But every effort becomes worthwhile when we see a child stand up for the first time on skates, an adult regain confidence, a family skating together, or a group celebrating progress that once felt impossible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When we host guests at our routes, we love taking them on a unique skating tour through Atlanta, stopping at some of the city’s most iconic locations:
Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Georgia State Capitol
Atlanta BeltLine
Centennial Olympic Park
Downtown and Midtown
Peachtree Street, with its beautiful mix of culture and food
BeltLine Eastside Trail, full of art, cafés, and life
And to end the day, we always take them to Buteco, a restaurant-bar that welcomes us with our skates on and makes us feel right at home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to honor APRR (Atlanta Peachtree Road Rollers), a skating group that welcomed us with kindness from day one and made us feel part of their community.
Through them we met wonderful people, grew as a group, and today we proudly collaborate as allies in promoting skating, physical and mental wellness, and intercultural connection in Atlanta.
We are also deeply grateful to our families, our students, and every member of the City Rollers community — they are the reason we continue dreaming and growing.
